They should give it to Spain, in case, so they perhaps win one.... ;)

You are right dude. Mexico surely deserves it. European nation should wait 20 years to host it while Japan needs to wait 50 years to host World Cup.

IMO only Japan and the USA would have the resources to organize themselves fast enough to host a WC with only 2 or 3 years notice.

I'd be happy with Japan :D It means either I could go, or it would at least be on at decent times of the day instead of 3am in the morning >_<

I prefer it being at 3 am so I can watch all the matches without quitting my job.

That could be wonderful if its realize by FIFA, but i don`t believe!
Japan - Southkorea again or Mexico could be a good choice!
3rd option, till 2010 Turkey could be organize a World Cup on two continents :D

    lol that's a good point.

It's interesting how this would pan out. Japan getting it sounds far fetched since 2002 isn't all that long ago, but who knows. In the end it may come down to the size of financial muscle and ready-made facilities, which Japan tends to be good at.

Somehow I doubt it, however. It's an interesting academic thread though :)
