2010 wc Group 2 GREECE

That is about as favorable as it gets, though Israel is an up and coming team, and the Swiss are respectable too.

 

I wouldn't celebrate just yet.....lol.


It's going to be very difficult for this group to settle. I would say it's one of the hardest groups to be honest.

 

You've got to be kidding. It is certainly the easiest group -- Greece, Israel and Switzerland were each the lowest or second lowest ranked teams of the first three pots.

What groups exactly are clearly harder?

If Greece can't make the WC with this draw, they don't deserve to make the main event.

With that said, I think it will be a close call between Greece, Switzerland and Israel. The swiss might top the group.

i would of rather played serbia, belgium, N.ireland, even norway than the Swiss, and look they beat you in Greece.
I can see you don't respect Israel much but we've played teams like france, rep ireland, swiss in wc qualifiers 06 and didn't loose one game, we're 19 games without a loss in the wc qualifiers so far. We're not exactly a push over. We didn't do that bad in the euro qualifiers either.

This group is harder than some of the other groups.

I like the greek team, i respect them, I think they played really well in tel aviv . you made great passes while we made horrid passes again and again. You won the first half and we won the second. It will be interesting in crete, a great game to watch I'm sure.

its a known fact greece got lucky 2004, no way in hell any skill was shown to win. i respect all teams against grece cuz theres a 75% chance greece will tie or lose. after the euro, were not winning anything until after 2020 maybe if were lucky

I've always liked the greek team and at time shown some support fo them, but when I see idiots, and dumb kuntz like that greek guy with a arab flag and people saying were soldiers on the pitch, I really wish you'd fukn wake up. One day you will understand,,,,if your lucky.

 

ok so im from ny... i dont know anything about greece? being greek i must know something. and watching greece play is a disgrace. its a retirement home. the one good young player who should develop into a great player(ninis) doesnt play, whats the average age? 35? its a bunch of washed up players... whos in the group with greece israel switzerland moldova luxemburg and latvia. the only remotely challenging team is the swiss. israel has only ben haim who played with chelsea for a year,better yet 5 games.
i hate people like you who think because we won the euro 2004, were a strong team. look at the results against decent teams since 2005 not very good if you ask me.
were going to make the world cup obviously because look at the dam group, but wen they go to south africa, i better see the half u21 roster there cuz there looking better than the 40 year old senior team.

Israel didn't loose 19 wc qualifiers and had much harder groups then greece in the past and did better.

i dont wanna be a referee here, but ust stop with the racist comments. its just not right. i did not see the game, nor did i plan on seeing it, but from what i know, both teams are not good, but merely mediocre. im greek, ive seen the fans and what they can do, and they go way over the top. look at who i support, paok. the worst of them all, im not saying im like the ultras and go crazy, but i support the team. as for israel, theres enough problems now and in the past. making fun of israel on the internet it just dumb, doesnt make you sound like your any better than anyone else here. your not tough or cool. just state the opinion on the topic which is greece's national team. not palestine. not the israeli military, talk football.

as much as i love greece and everything, i cant stand the people. 75% of them have the biggest egos and it just pisses me off to see it.
anyways, greece is probably gonna finish first in the group from what it looks like, but second is coming close. whoever else moves on i widh them the best of luck, and efexor, when greece are in the world cup, well see how amazing you think they are. ive faced the fact were not great, but i deal with it. i cant wait to see whose gonna be in their group.
