Ok you 2008 World ********in Champions and you 2009 National League Champions, we've hit a new year. And just cause Mets fans are too dumb to realize and keep posting in their 2009 thread doesn't mean we need to follow that bullshit. Can you feel the excitement? Danys Baez, bitches?!?!? And while you are feeling the excitement can you explain to me why signing Danys Baez means that we have ended negotiations with Chan "Hacksaw" Ho Park? Would they even come close to filling the same role? No. They wouldn't. The bullpen concerns me. But when I look towards Queens and realize K-Rod was Brad Lidge light, or at least Matt Capps light during the second half of 09 I feel a little better. Eddie, god bless him, and I are on different wavelengths about the Palanco signing. But that's okay. I WANT to be proven wrong about that and hope Eddie is right. It'll be interesting to see what Charlie does as far as Vic and Raul. Who's hitting 6th and who's hitting 7th. The bench has lost Bruntlett. I know this kills us all. But we must move on. Less than 100 days till opening day. I am fired up. Gload! Baez! Castro! Palanco! Can ya feel he fever? And oh yeah, we still have these guys Utley, Howard, Rollins, Vic, Werth, Hamels, Madson, Chooch, Happ, Blanton. And this exciting prospect named Roy Halladay. I hope he pans out. Come on Phils. .
Halladay? Never heard of him. How's he compare to that Cliff Leigh (sp? ) guy that played a couple games for the Phillies last season?
Do you remember last year when the Cubs were a chic pick in spring training? I mean I never really bought it, but a lot of people did. Now, they are off the radar again. How strange. In order, NL teams that I fear in 2010... 1. Rockies 2. Braves 3. Mets 4. Dodgers 5. Cardinals.
The Mets still can't hit. Jose Reyes still isn't healthy. Santana still isn't 28 years old. Jason Bay is still overrated, except overpaid now too. I am not scared of the Mets in the slightest.
In light of Big Mac coming back to be the Cards hitting coach has to catapult them up the chart a bit, No?
I don't even hate you guys anymore as much as it is extreme jealousy. God dammit. Hang, that's not really Charlie, is it?
Good to see delusion is still rampant in smelly Queens. http://www.nj.com/mets/index.ssf/2010/02/david_wright_says_he_expects_n.html
I've read a lot about the added muscle from David Wright this year. That's cool. Maybe he can go to a mixed marial arts fight with Victorino or something. But if we are talking physical offseason improvements, we start with Jayson Werth.
Quote of spring training so far from Charlie Manuel about OF Tyson Gillies who was acquired in the Cliff Lee trade.... "He takes shagging to a new level." ******** yeah. And keep in mind Charlie managed Pat "I've had my cock in every girl in the deleware valley" Burrell. So you know, that's high praise.
And don't forget our favorite: “When you get that nice celebration coming into the dugout and you’re getting your ass hammered by guys — there’s no better feeling than to have that done.”- Matt Stairs
Hey, I support same-sex marriage so if that's what Matt Stairs is into.....I'm all for it. Be courageous, Matt.
