That'd be an improvement on someone from Papua New Guinea... listed as 5th... in a 5-way tie for 203rd...

So I wonder when we are going to get official word about names for these two players? Glad the holidays are over so we can get the ball rolling on player movement, especially internationals.

Is Herc the only move we know for sure right now? I know we heard a bit about acquiring a few attacking players not long ago but did we get any names? Why the hell is the club being so hush hush about players in/out this offseason?

    Re: 2009-2010 Offseason

Yes it's our first move of the offseason. There hasn't been a whole lot of attacking player talk, the only real talk has been the d-mid and the center back Heineman says that we signed.

I don't think it's being hush hush, I think it's the fact that we really haven't done much. I think maybe the CBA is putting some things on hold.

Oh, okay, I was thinking of the two that Robb said we signed, I guess they weren't attacking. I guess CBA is more important at this point, but man I'd like to see some new faces.

    Re: 2009-2010 Offseason

It was on the news a few days ago about a couple charities that had their offices broken into... it was quickly mentioned that the Wizards offices were down the hall in the building. Then it went on to talk about how the vandals got apparently frustrated by the lack of valuables on hand in the charities so they went on breaking in all the way down the hall tearing stuff up.

I can't find anything on this now, has anybody heard anything about if the Wizards suffered any interesting damage to their offices?

Andy Herron is being discussed on the other thread.

Who else are we in line for and who would you (seriously) like to see in Wizards blue next season?

We are fourth in line for allocations or returning US national team pool players (behind Philly, NY, and SJ).

well that puts a damper on the day, now not only do we have the Herron rumor to worry about, but we don't have names of the players that are coming.

    Re: 2009-2010 Offseason

Even if one of them's Herron?

And if we have "several more coming" the house cleaning part of the roster overhaul is going to have to start very soon. We ended last season with more players on our roster than allowed due to IR. We're already at a +1 (Gomez gone, 2 new signings in). Not to mention the draft.

I would say that the potential for 3-6 more inches of snow tomorrow puts more of a damper on my day. ;) At least there is activity, which gives us all something to disect down to the toenail until we are given more scraps to feed on.

not officially, everything I saw out of Chile was that he was a target of Colo Colo, but haven't seen anything that he's gotten a contract and I usually check on him every couple of days just to see. I'll look around again tonight.
