i have yet to renew my season tickets (varying reasons), but if we were to re-sign him, it'd pretty much put a nail in my season tix not happening. just sayin... that's how i feel about that possibility, however remote it may be.

Well you're off to a great start to people hating your idea by post the same freaking thing in 4 threads.

As for your idea. No. Not in a million years, that's a horrible name.

Not to mention he couldn't even spell Kansas right in his post.

Mods can we break these posts off into (yet another) logo thread?

Article from yesterday, the google translate of it I got says "The output wheel (for some reason midfielder translates to output wheel) would be the Argentine Santiago Hirsig, who just left Kansas City champion in the United States. "

If that's true, it looks like Hirsig has already left KC...

I wouldn't trust it that much. It says Kansas City won a championship and that Hirsig is an attacking mid. The talk is that he is going to replace Macnelly Torres, who is a creative mid.

    Re: 2009-2010 Offseason

I noticed the championship part. Still with these rumors out there, it wouldn't surprise me if they're true in some form.

But thank you for a better idea of the translation than google.

Let's hope the CBA doesn't cause a delay on this. That's one more thing to worry about....

    Re: 2009-2010 Offseason

I bet the center back is one of those 3 Colombians.

And a holding mid, wonder what that means for Hirsig/Jewsbury, Hirsig in particular considering the Colo Colo rumors.

    [whistle]

Based on what I've seen of him (highlights plus parts of about 3 other games in the past few years), he's a rather different type player compared to Jack or Santi. Very active, very quick, skilled tackler; fast and good on the ball, but definitely lies deep. His country asks a bit more of him going forward due to circumstance. Obviously not at that level, but a quick, destroyer, Makalele-type d-mid.

Excellent, I think that's one of the things we've been missing, is a true destroyer type in the midfield.

Or could it be Facundo Imboden? Argentine defender is out of contract in Chile and supposedly has an offer from us.

    Re: 2009-2010 Offseason

Interesting, while the post is on a forum, that looks like a press release from the club. Wonder if there's truth to it, or whether it's agent positioning to get him a better deal and since KC has been mentioned in Chile as a destination for Hirsig (and the fact that Lopez is still here) their name got thrown out.

it's good to know this player is at least in the national pool for his country.
