    Re: MLS Schedule

My ticket rep told me today that they will play 2-3 games max at Linc, before they move into the new stadium. He also said they will have a many away games at the beginning of the season.

Nothing new, but I think 4/23 should be a safe day of not having a home game.

I didn't realize I could buy multiple season tickets. I would have loved to have been able to get 2011, 2012, and 2013 locked in now at todays prices.

    Re: MLS Schedule

Figured that is what you meant, hence the sarcastic smiley. Single game tickets probably won't be available until after all the season ticket holders have finished being placed, which I believe is still happening. Plus, they need the schedule to be released. I have no insider knowledge, so this is just a W.A.G. but I would assume end of Feb before they open up single game tickets.

    Re: MLS Schedule

I'm eager to see how front-loaded our schedule is with away games, if the stadium won't be open until July 4th and the ticket reps are accurate with their 2-3 games at the Linc statements.

Taking into account the 2-week WC break, that's 12 total games (give or take), 1 of which we definitely know will be at the Linc (with possibly 2 more). That makes 9 away from home.

    March 25 - A
    April 3 - ?
    April 10 - H
    April 15 - A
    April 24 - ?
    May 1 - ?
    May 8 - ?
    May 15 - ?
    May 22 - ?
    May 29 - ?
    June 5 - ?
    June 12 - ?
    June 19 - WC break?
    June 26 - WC break?
July 3 - Home Opener at Seaport Drive

plus the season ticket holder presale for the opener, which comes between the seat selection and the public sale

April 10 is the home opener, so April 3 is definitely away.

Just going to completely guess but May 8 and 25 could be home, giving no more than 3 Away games in a row. We'll find out tomorrow

Not every team played every week last season. Cant assume that we will be playing every week on there.

Is it possible we'd have a by week or would that not happen because of the WC break?

    Re: MLS Schedule

Last year they had to have bye weeks because there were an odd number of teams in the league. Given the compressed schedule this season, I'd be surprised if there were bye weeks scheduled.

I would think that May 29 will likely be a home game at at the Linc as a double header with the USMNT if the rumors are true about such a game.
