This appears to have slipped through the cracks on the scorecard thread:

Chivas USA announced on Friday (April 30) that it has acquired Costa Rican midfielder/forward José Macotelo on loan from Puntarenas F.C. in Costa Rica.

    http://www.soccer365.com/mls/story_30410182048.php

Everything OK with the keeper of the thread? Should someone else add all of these updates to the ongoing list?

Leandre Griffit has NOT signed for Columbus yet. He's agreed to a deal, but it's not offcial yet because he's been working on getting some sort of international transfer certificate, plus the Crew needs to make room for him somehow.

The latest update from Shawn Mitchell's blog:

It looks like this is all but official if there's going to be a roster announcement made soon. I'll leave it on the list.

    Amazing.

Happy to see him back. Used to love watching him play for the New York. His career really took a turn for the worse with that steroid result.

So where are the follow-up transactions? I would think that both Seattle and Columbus need to trade/waive/IR a player to be roster-compliant.

Columbus put Kevin Burns on IR.

That was the week before. Montano played against LA. Seattle traded King away when Montano's papers came through.

Fucito's on the protected roster, so unless Parke is coming in for league minimum then Fucito going on IR isn't going to open up a spot on the senior roster. That being said, the Sounders had an open senior spot due to Jaqua being on IR. Once Jaqua comes off IR, I'd expect Taylor Graham to suddenly come down with an injury that forces him onto IR.

Since when do you need a doctor's note to put someone on IR? Team's have been putting players on IR with minor injuries since the idea of IR began. Seriously, how many times have you seen a guy on IR play in USOC or X
CCL games? Or are the somehow to injured to play in a regular season game, but totally fine for the nonregular season games?

Maybe this doesn't belong here but why would DC have to release Shipalane if he is on a season long loan?

    ?

He was on loan to a USL team for a couple of games, It was erroneously reported by some as a season long loan, but there was no confirmation of that by Goff or the team.
