Group D is chanting, "D is for Death" as they rack up 20 goals for the week with a match to go and a Rooney and a Berbatov to spare. Pork Soda gets thier first los. LSG and The Class Acts get their first win. Pork Soda gets another chance to pull away a lead as the The Class Acts and LSG meet this weekend.

Correction, I missed the Shawcross assist. He showed 1 point after the nasty red card. Almost tranferred in Ramsey myself.

Duck Butter looking close to qualifying manage a draw. FC Springfield get a win and clog up the top of the table. Duck Butter has 8 points and Southside Saturns and FC Springfield each have 6. ChrisSuttonsSlippers have a difficult road ahead with their 2 points.

Round 3 Week 4 Group B

This is another Group which may go down to the wire to determine the two qualifying teams. At the top of the table Aviators upset Rockville Gunners. They were busy with Rooney winning the Carling Cup and could not be around to deal with Arsenal's rage against Stoke City.

At the bottom of the table, Sasha Juniors got a good day out of Lampard and new hire Benayoun. Now Aviators and Sasha Juniors are in the middle of the table, albeit with a 3 point differential separating them and go in with Aviators Fabregas taking on the defenseless Burnely and Sasha Juniors with a Chelsea bye for their Lampard. The Golden Boot and Rottiserie Shield are all on the line and they probably won't be going down without a fight. Rockville Gunners get Rooney back and get to take on Hull City. Their qualification could be wrapped up shortly.

It becomes almost a 3 way tie in Group C as top team Pittsadelphia loses to VegasVirgins and number 2 Kopite Juniors draws with Windsor Wanderers. Pittsadelphia have 7 points and Kopite Juniors and VegasVirgins each have 6. Windsor Wanders have a chance with their 2 points with 6 points possible in the last two matches.

Benayoun and Kuyt shoot blanks. Aviators really are toying with me like cat with a mouse. Donovan comes in with 28 minutes and bangs out a goal and assist. Down to Taylor and Kevin Davies and this year's Golden Boot goes into the same scrap heap as last years...

 

Its down to Kevin Davies and Mark Taylor to come up with 2 for the tie or 3 for the win and Mark Taylor cannot even start with Tamir Cohen's red card. He is simply not allowed on the pitch.

 

And I almost traded Saha for Nugent Friday night. uggghhh...

Sasha Juniors crashes out. Their loss to Aviators puts Aviators into qualifying. Yellowcake knocks Rockville Gunners out of the top spot but the other game sealed their fate as well to not progress. Next Round goes Rockville Gunners and Aviators.

Pork Soda could only bring out Pienaar this week but Class Acts in their zen mode of no trades and living off a meager substenance of only the original draft yet allow themselves just the simple indulgence of choosing a Captain each week wins the critical match and thus clinching the Group.

Please note. Pork Soda and Rockville Gunners were tied, points, goals and assists. Unfortunately nothing was written in the rules to resolve this matter so a tried and trued method was used. A coin toss.

Looking at the Table for Round 3 for Group Winners, Duck Butter had 14 points, Aviators and Pittsadelphia each has 13 points, 22 total goals and assists but Pittsadelphia have 13 goals over Aviator's 11. And so on.
