The match dates after the official CFU calendar:

5th-7th May Round 1 first leg
19th-21st May Round 1 return leg

13th-14th April Round 2 first leg
23th-25th April Round 2 return leg

FINAL STAGE (venue to be annouced)
    14th may semifinals
16th may third place game & final

the two finalist and the third placed team will advance to CONCACAF Champions League

The number of qualifying rounds (two!) indicates, that not more than 16 teams will compete. That means that a lot of teams won't participate.
To raise the level in the Caribbean and in the different associations, every champion should compete, because from this international games the players can benefit, like it is in Europe where also the smaller associations send their representives.

Here is a list of teams that should compete:

1.Sunset Homes Attackers FC (Anguilla 2008/09 winner)
2.Sap FC Bolans (Antigua and Barbuda 2008/09 winner)
3.SV Britannia Piedra Plat (Aruba 2008/09 winner)
4.Becks Bears FC (Bahamas 2008/09 winner)
    5.Brittons Hill (Barbados 2009 winner)
    6.Devonshire Cougars (Bermuda 2008/09 winner)
7.Hairoun Stars (British Virgin 2008 winner)
    8.Elite SC (Cayman 2008/09 winner)
    9.Cienfuegos (Cuba 2008/09 winner)
    10.Villa Clara (Cuba 2008/09 runner-up)
11.Deportivo Pantoja Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic 2009 winner)
12.4D Bath Estate (Dominica 2009 winner)
13.ASC Le Geldar Kourou (French Guyana 2008/09 winner)
    14.Hurricanes FC (Grenada 2008 winner)
    15.CS Moule (Guadeloupe 2008/09 winner)
16.Alpha United FC (Guyana 2009 winner)
    17.Tempête FC Saint-Marc (Haiti 2009 winner)
    18.Racing Club Haïtien Port-au-Prince (Haiti 2009 runner-up)
19.Tivoli Gardens FC Kingston (Jamaica 2008/09 winner)
    20.Portmore United FC (Jamaica runner-up)
21.Club Franciscain Le François (Martinique 2008/09 winner)
    22.Ideal FC (Montserrat 2004 winner)
23.Atlético San Juan FC (Puerto Rico 2009 winner)
24.Puerto Rico Islanders FC Bayamón (Puerto Rico)
25.St. Pauls United FC (Saint Kitts and Nevis 2008/09 winner)
26.White House Dennery Aux-Lyons (Saint Lucia 2008 winner)
    27.ASPSB (Saint-Martin 2008/09 winner)
28.Hope International (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 2008/09 winner)
    29.D&P Connection FC (Sint-Maarten 2006/07 winner)
30.Walking Bout Company Paramaribo (Surinam 2008/09 winner)
31.Joe Public FC Tunapuna (Trinidad and Tobago 2009 winner)
32.San Juan Jabloteh FC (Trinidad and Tobago 2009 runner-up)
33.W Connection FC San Fernando (Trinidad and Tobago / CFU Club Champions Cup title holder)
34.Digi FC (Turk and Caicos 2008/09 winner)
35.New Vibes (US Virgin 2008/09 winner)

Even if every team would have competed there would be only two more qualifying rounds, but the first one only for the 6 lowest ranked teams.

The first post listed 35 clubs that he thought should compete but said at most 16 clubs will compete based on the number of rounds.
For both this and CFU's tournament for national teams, if the competitions are to start in March the date(s) of the draws should have been released by now.

The draw will (most likely) take place at the CFU congress in February.

    @EvanJ

You're right. My bad. Of course first round is in may.

    @ccuba71

También me equivoqué en el campeón de PR. Lo siento. Es el Bayamón que ganó el final contra Atlético San Juan. Además se me olvidó del campeón de las Antillas Holandesas.

This is not a list of the 36 participants, it's further a list of teams that should have competet, with some errores as I didn't found results of all current national leagues at rsssf.com.

We'll know the team and match schedule after the CFU congress in february, for both Cup of Caribbean Nations and Club Championship. I also can image that they could change the formato of the cups. I still have hope that every national team will compete. Pero temo que not more than 16 clubs will compete and there will only be the two qualifying rounds that are already scheduled. This could be the 16 clubs that will compete:

-.Sunset Homes Attackers FC (Anguilla 2008/09 winner)
1.Sap FC Bolans (Antigua and Barbuda 2008/09 winner)
2.SV Britannia Piedra Plat (Aruba 2008/09 winner)
-.Becks Bears FC (Bahamas 2008/09 winner)
    -.Brittons Hill (Barbados 2009 winner)
    -.Devonshire Cougars (Bermuda 2008/09 winner)
-.Hairoun Stars (British Virgin 2008 winner)
    -.Elite SC (Cayman 2008/09 winner)
    -.Cienfuegos (Cuba 2008/09 winner)
    -.Villa Clara (Cuba 2008/09 runner-up)
-.Deportivo Pantoja Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic 2009 winner)
3.4D Bath Estate (Dominica 2009 winner)
-.ASC Le Geldar Kourou (French Guyana 2008/09 winner)
    -.Hurricanes FC (Grenada 2008 winner)
    -.CS Moule (Guadeloupe 2008/09 winner)
4.Alpha United FC (Guyana 2009 winner)

    6.Racing Club Haïtien Port-au-Prince (Haiti 2009 runner-up)
7.Tivoli Gardens FC Kingston (Jamaica 2008/09 winner)
    8.Portmore United FC (Jamaica runner-up)
-.Club Franciscain Le François (Martinique 2008/09 winner)
    -.Ideal FC (Montserrat 2004 winner)
9.Hubentut Fortuna (Netherlands Antilles 2009 winner)
10.Bayamón FC (Puerto Rico 2009 winner)
11.Puerto Rico Islanders FC Bayamón (Puerto Rico)
12.St. Pauls United FC (Saint Kitts and Nevis 2008/09 winner)

Ex-Saprissa HC Jeaustin Campos will coach Bayamon F.C in the CFU.

Jeaustin coached against the Islanders in the leg at Costa Rica, but he got the boot before the return match in Bayamon.

PR was asking the CFU to allow nation with pro leagues to get 3 spots ( PR, TnT, Jam) and it seem CFU is going to grant it. They are also trying to get the hosting right this year.

That's some information, but it doesn't say how it will eventually send three clubs to the Champions League. Once there are ten clubs left there could be another knockout round with or without some clubs having byes, two groups of five (which would require five matchdays), or three groups with the groups having unequal numbers of clubs. The distribution by country is:

    Puerto Rico: 3 (all seeded)
Trinidad and Tobago: 2 (1 seeded)
    Guyana: 2 (1 seeded)
Antigua and Barbuda: 2 (none seeded)
St. Vincent and the Grenadines: 2 (none seeded)
    Suriname: 2 (none seeded)
    Dominica: 1 (not seeded)
    Bermuda: 1 (not seeded)

Compared to last year, this tournament has 25% more clubs (15 compared to 12), but one less country. Aruba (1 club), Haiti (2 clubs), and Netherlands Antilles (2 clubs) had clubs in 2009 but not 2010. Bermuda and St. Vincent and the Grenadines have clubs in 2010 but did not have any in 2009. This is assuming no clubs drop out after the initial format is announced. Two clubs dropped out last year. The four clubs to participate in 2009 and 2010 are Puerto Rico Islanders, Alpha United (Guyana), Bath Estate (Dominica), and San Juan Jabloteh (Trinidad and Tobago).

Good to have infos yet. But Barber and Hubentut Fortuna are from the Netherlands ANTilles. No clubs from Antigua and Barbuda are competing this time.

Just one correction: if you're talking about the CCL this year, Jeaustin was still around for that one. He got fired closer to the end of last year, b/c I distinctly remember him being at the Columbus Crew - Saprissa game after the second Islanders-Saprissa game.

And if anyone has information on why Jamaica's not participating again, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you for the correction. I think Antigua and Barbuda is ATG, but it would be better if websites would write out the country name especially when dealing with islands that don't have many people.

I personally think we will see at least 1 Puerto Rican team in the Champions League this year, maximum 2.

Both Islanders and Bayamon FC have the easiest draws (hypothetically speaking) while River Plate Puerto Rico would have the toughest opponent, being the T&T team Joe Public.

It would be very interesting to see if all 3 clubs were to pass on to the Champions League, though I highly doubt it. It'll probably be more like:

    Puerto Rico Islanders
    San Juan Jabloteh
Joe Public/River Plate Puerto Rico/ Bayamon FC
