Given the typical 2 year cycle of uniforms in the MLS, DCU would be up for a refresh. Any word on what we may be seeing on the players next year? Something similar to the Union perhaps?

Hopefully not... I think it's the worst, even worse than NYRB, and that was tough...

I don't think the Union's are that bad. I just hope when looking at a new one for DCU we dont go with the template the NYRB have.

Agreed - they suck. adidas really take a crap on MLS while designing better shirts for teams around the world.

Actually, nothing is worse than the Red Bulls dreck. Except Seattle.

If I remember correctly, and I may have been drinking, Nathan reported that the changes were not really that significant. I can't remember if we asked about more red.

Of course, what FO people think is significant and what we as fans see as significant ........ may be significantly different

I'm sure we'll get the same old template that Adidas tosses our way. Adidas had three templates the last time around.

The light blue bits on Houston's uniform are an abomination for what otherwise could be a terrific color scheme.

I think we are safe from having the NYRB template. It should be a new template for this two year cycle. More red would be nice but something fairly basic and classic would be good too.

Except for the Harkes, they look like they just got out of a clown car.

I think the Rapids jersey looks okay. The stripes on that United shirt are dangerously close to clownish, but overall it's very good.

I think the Rapids jersey is the only one that never made it onto the field.

According to a purveyor of MLS Authentics & Replicas. We will have new designs for both home and away. They will be released in February.

ed.: Nice to see Big Soccer has lifted the ban on links to the site

Am I the only one who wonders if the league's allowing itself to be roped into that exclusive 10 year:)eek:) deal is a good business move?

Love the money... hate the shirts. Oh well

Here's the plain adidas template look for next year. I bet if you swapped the green for black, add VW and our badge, you'll have our shirt

I usually wait til the new jerseys have come out to buy the old ones. Not being a fan of the current jersey, I think I'll pass this time around. Last one I liked was the 04/05 jersey.

Yeah, or the new Mexico jersey, with under-printing, to disastrous effect.

I guess if they backprinted it with skulls it could be a nice Barra jersey ;)

We've been through this before. We're on a two year cycle and due for new uniforms, fortunately on Euro/WC cycle.

That means we'll get one of the templates that Adidas is currently rolling out. So far it looks like two or three (I haven't seen good enough pictures to distinguish). Some have the arm's blank space in the middle and some lower on the sleeve. This is probably a good thing as more and more tournaments are requiring patches, and they don't seem to apply well when there are three stripes underneath.

My bet is that we get the same template that Germany is using. The last couple of cycles, that's the one used, and it's generally the top of the line template. It also offers the potential of three subtle lines down the left chest of the shirt.

Can you put the flag of your country on your jersey for national team?
