    Congrats Japan. Your team was on fire today. It was amazing watching them outplay, outmaneuver and outrun the Danes.

    Good job Japan! That was a hard group. I envy Japan's good defense. I think Japan is improving faster than Korea did. It was only in 1998 that Japan qualified for the WC for the first time.

    Wow.. Great performance by japan. Nakazawa in defence so solid. Endo and Honda play in their top form. Now focus against Paraguay.. Make Asian proud !!

    Who would have thought that Japan would have this kind of performance after the Cote d'Ivoire loss? WOW! Everyone in my place was cheering when Honda scored the first goal!! :p

    Congrats. :) It would not surprise me at all if Korea gets knocked out first and Japan goes to the QFs.

    Horrible ref. I knew just looking at his face that he was going to be annoying. Sure enough, 2 yellow cards for time-wasting in the first half, when they were just trying to set up free kicks. Could hurt Japan if they somehow get past Paraguay (I really don't want to ever see Konno playing in Nagatomo's position again). What a horrible dive on the PK as well.

    I might be wrong, but I think that the slate is wiped clean now, so if Abe, Nagatomo or Endo pick up a booking against Paraguay then they won't be suspended for any further matches (should Japan make it through).

    not until after the qf's, so yes they will still be suspended. :)

    If Kjaer and Agger would have done better then why risk Kjaer getting a yellow?

    Just some typical Euro-snobbery, but who cares we're in the Round of 16 and they aren't.

    bunch of muppets. ye i'm sure having Simon Kjaer there would've prevented Honda's FK from going in. Yup that does make sense.

    But stuff it who cares. They lost let them say what they like they were comprehensively beaten in all areas of the park.

    When we lost to Netherlands people say it was unlucky with the handball and GK error but still lets be honest Netherlands deserved 3 pts. its sort of the same thing.
