First It is Creditable, secondly we PLAYED football, thirdly it called DEFENDING tactics and finally ITALY won the WORLD CUP with this tactics.

I don't blame you, wondering why we are playing like this... so these are Some Facts you should know:

    1. Our FA signed Radhi Shenaishel as a temporary coach.

    2. Radhi Shenaishel dropped all the Asian Cup champions’ players from the National team and called the Iraqi League players… reason? He wanted to make his own history. he led Iraq in 2 friendly matches (Draw 0-0 with Saudi Arabia and a lose to South Korea 1-2).

    3. Our FA Signed Bora as our new National team coach (2 months before the tournament!!!), and Shenaishel became his assistance.

    4. Radhi Shanieshel couldn’t accept the idea of being an assistance and he threatened Bora if he ignore him he will resign. heck he even ordered Bora to not to call the Asian Cup champions’ players for the National team... Bora simply ignored Radhi Shanieshel and called the Asian Cup Champions players.

    5. Radhi Shanieshel resigned as an assistance coach and made a gap between the players (the Asian Cup Champions players and the Iraqi League Players) by telling the media that the Asian Cup Champions players are over and his players are the ones who deserve to represent Iraq.

    6. Radhi Shanieshel told the media and put in our mind that Bora is a sh!tty coach and he will destroy our reputation in the Confederations Cup.

    7. Bora succeed to make a friendly atmosphere between the players and close the gap that Radhi Shanieshel made, it took Bora some time to gain the media trust.

    8. Iraq was about to withdrew from the Confederations Cup because of the lack of preparations.

    9. Bora had 40 players (Both the Asian Cup Champions and Iraqi League players) and he tested 23 players in one match against Qatar!!! and he couldn’t see how good the others are.

    10. Bora's first official international match with Iraq was against Poland 4 days before the tournament!!!, and it was played in a small field.

    11. Bora is a defensive coach and we already know that.

    12. Bora promised us to reach the semi-finals and he put a plan.

Bora is genius coach and everything is going by his plan and his plan is...
    1. A win over the Host would be great, draw is also good.
    2. To not to lose with so many goals with Spain, a draw would be great.
    3. You will see an attacking football against New Zealand.
    4. Reach the semifinals (GOAL).

Not only he put plans he also put the tactics for each match.

I want to add something, Credits to the players who are doing exactly what Bora is telling them.

Can a 5 year old kid make a tactic to stop Spain and also succeed with it? if so then this kid you are talking about is also a genius kid. You need to put the tactics aswell for each match not only giving plans.

Yes if we beat Spain it will be great but this is impossible, strong European teams couldn’t beat Spain so how about Iraq? Bora was genius on how he dealt with South Africa and Spain.

loving the Egypt v Italy game here.

    3min of normal time left.

Egypts been good, Italy had a slow first half but in the second half started to notch it up. Impressively, Egypt matches it and notched things up themselves.

cant believe this 3 back defence is working so well.

the Italians seems to want to go thru the middle all the time in the 1st half. they did start to utilise the wings to put dangerous crosses from the sides but still not as much as they should be.

Thats the thing, Egypt doesnt rely on individuals...besides Zidan and Abutrika, maybe Ahmed Hassan, all the others are really average, I dont think they are superior to Iraq's. They however, have a never say die attitude and high athleticism and play offensive football.

    Iraq v New Zealand, Gp A, 19:30
    Spain v South Africa, Gp A, 19:30

Although I want to watch the Spain - South Africa game, I will be watching the Iraq - New Zealand game as I do want to see how many goals Iraq can bang away against NZ (and should they score enough goals they can get through assuming Spain beats SA) and also this game in a way is a taster to the play off game forthe 5th WC spot that will be Saudi/Bahrain v. NZ.

    Egypt v USA, Gp B, 19:30
    Italy v Brazil, Gp B, 19:30

Tough choice here too, but given that Brazil is already through whereas Egypt and US are both need to win, I will go for the game the latter two are playing.

In anycase Egypt has just as been entertaining as Brazil and Italy, and I am sure they be just as entertaining as Brazil and Italy were in spanking US, the groups whipping boy.

If Iraq doesnt step it up against NZ I will be very dissappointed.

however, NZ is not going to take it lying down. They've already lost two matches and i am sure they do not want to go 3 and out.
