The scarf looks AWESOME. Good job Mikey! What is the material? Is it doubled up? How much is the membership this year?

material is jsut like most traditional scarves, and it is double sided.

I'm not exactly sure what the price is but I do know the price wont change from last year

    Glad everyone likes it.

There maybe a few minor changes but nothing major maybe some some spacing of letters

Still alive and kicking. Mrs. BT had a rough year, major foot reconstructive surgery but she's progressing pretty well with the husband ass kicking therapy!! :D

The price of joining the Regiment is $30 for the standard kit which would include the scarf. It also gets you a Regiment lapel pin, an invitation to the end of the year Player Appreciation Picnic and a 10% discount off anything in the pro shop for a year. And a discount (usually about $10) on the annual bus trip which will be to Cary this year.

    Ditto.

Mikey - are there going to be fringes and if so will there be one color on both sides, yellow & black on each side, or black on one side and yellow on the other?

So, are 2,009 batteries glued together, or somehow attached to make each scarf .... are they AAA, AA, 9-volt?
....... and how heavy does that make each scarf?

    ;)

sorry, the thread title, it makes me smile, I finally had to attempt a bad joke of some kind "out loud"

So I send my cheque to The Regiment in care of The Battery or to Mr and Mrs JBG? I think I still have their address laying around somewhere.

Dont forget to get your 2009 Regiment membership which includes the new Scarf this Saturday at the Carolina Challenge Cup

$30 membership includes, 10% discount at the proshop, discounts on road trips, Player BBQ at the end of the season. And your choice of Regiment items, one being the Scarf.

We will be set up at the Tailgate (thanks to the Regiment!) near the East Stand Entrance from about 3pm on Saturday. Also under the West stands near the proshop between the two matches and at half time of the second match.

Also we will have Carolina Challenge Cup T-shirts for sale. We have a limited number so dont wait!

Any break on price for long-distance fans who want to support the club but aren't local enough to take advantage of the pro shop, road trips and BBQ? ;)

I do need a scarf to match my Regiment cowbell .........

... save me a T-shirt, since you scuttled my pub crawl scarf :)

we're selling the scarf by itself for $20, but if you get the membership, think of it as buying two beers for a your fellow regiment members. Of course you could probably save $10 in the proshop when you buy a Battery jersey, flag and Tshirt, with your discount after you become a member;)

    Aye aye Cap'n.

We had our highest enlistment in the Regiment last year and after the CCC, we're already 2/3 of that number already & its only preseason.

I hope you can make it back here sometime for a visit. We had so much fun with the outoftowners during the cup (as you well know). We're so fortunate to live in a place like this. Hell, one of the Toronto guys said he's starting to look at property prices around here now.

Good luck with your opener against Houston. We took em last year, you should have no problems.......Poontas.....
