Since the season is now 2+ wks. old, let's get this thread going. Gophers looked absolutely horrible Friday night in our season opener thrashing up in Grand Forks. Kangas, who was shaky in goal most of last year, looked solid and was our only ray of hope the whole night. Saturday night was a different story. MN looked sharp and gave the Sioux everything they could handle. We were unfortunate to not get the full 3 points. Lucia gave Kangas a rest and started backup Kent Patterson, who played every bit as well as Kangas did on Friday. Everyone has Denver at the top of the WCHA, but NoDak looked really good...even with 10 Freshmen. Announcers were saying that this is one of the most American-heavy teams the University of Southern Manitoba has put on the ice in years...
Hows Michigan looking this year? I did a hockey camp there about 9 years ago, so I've always had an interest in them.
