Nicky Hunt has gone on loan to Derby. It's a shame that he's found himself out of the team cos he's a local lad.

I'm surprized Tamir made it to the team and stayed with the club for so long. I never thought he was that good. There are better players from Israel bolton can get. Do any of you think Big Sam will ever come back. I wish he would, I thought he was great at Bolton.

Thanks, I had assumed that Stuart Holden was on loan like Landon Donovan is, but he's not. Looks like he'll be a free agent when summer comes.
First he refuses to go on loan to Gaziantepspor on the Turkish-Syrian border, then he doesn't want to go to Hamilton. Bolton must be a fantastic city compared to those two places.

We have depth, players that offer different options, a nice blend of youth and experience, and strong players in every department. It is likely that isn't even the finished squad, Coyle will probably add a loanee or 2, and another permanent signing. Our defence looks our weakest area and needs the most improvement, with only 2 players I would be confident playing centrally. Coyle says that we have to let a few players go before we sign any more, so we are just waiting for Shittu to shit off, and Samuel to do one as well. I really could not call the first XI from that squad. As it stands 1 player in that squad will have to miss out on our final squad of 25, Riga or Shittu must be favourites. It's really unlucky for us that we have a few players that have just turned 22, if they were 21 or under they do not count as part of the 25 man squad so we could have a very large team. So there is my quick analysis on the current state of things. Elaborate.
Well as I said, I couldn't really call it. The only guaranteed names on the team sheet are Jaaskelainen, Cahill, Knight, Petrov, Davies Tonight in our 2-0 win over Osasuna it was: Jaaskelainen Steinsson - Andy O'Brien - Cahill - Robinson Chung-Yong - Holden - Muamba - Petrov Kevin Davies - Elmander The only guaranteed names on the team sheet are Jaaskelainen, Cahill, Knight, Petrov, Davies So I think that gives some indication to the balance of the team. Although Zat Knight will replace Andy O'Brien, and I think it is unlikely Holden will start, but as it stands he is our only central attacking midfielder so he may well start in order to balance Muamba. Muamba will likely rotate with Sean Davis, although in tougher games we will probably see them side by side as we scrap the attacking midfielder (Holden) role. Klasnic will rotate with Elmander if he is out of form. I think we will be playing a lot more 4-4-1-1 this season, Petrov or Elmander behind either Davies or Klasnic. It really is too hard to say, we have so many options which although is exciting as it's something we haven't seen for many years, it also means we might have too much flexibility and players will start going missing in matches as they forget/struggle to adapt to the system.
