.1st parker is not the best player in SA...its duncan and he is the best pf because he has won all those titles and also because of his numbers.

.2nd im not saying that they are the best because he has won those titles but he has proven he can win them and lebron james has not proven it and he actually failed when he had the chance. MVP is not all about numbers

.i let the facts speak.leading ppg and the heat is not doing that bad this year

.thats why i believe wade has a strong chance of winning.

.allen? imo it would be KG

The cream of the crop right now are Bron, Paul, Howard, Wade, and Kobe.

.all of them have a chance, alos duncan has been playing great lately.

Any person with a brain knows that Duncan is the best on his team as well as the best PF of my generation if not all-time. No argument there.
I was using Parker to refute your argument that winning titles and MVPs doesn't make you a better player. Get your facts straight.

How did Bron fail? By not carrying his team 100% of the time and letting his teammates sit back and have a circlejerk? You know damn well Wade couldn't have won shit without Shaq. You act as though he wont he title all by himself. Bron almost made it to the finals by his damn self. Take the blinders off.

Who cares if Wade is leading the league in scoring? Really? Scoring is such an overglorified sack of shit stat that people just love to jerk off to. Yes it is often the difference between winning and losing but its not everything. Wade's all-around game is NO WHERE NEAR Bron's and that is why Bron is the topdog to win it this year. Like many others pointed out Bron could score 30+ every game if he wanted but why?

None of the Celtics should be in the running for the MVP. There...now everyone is happy.

The MVP award itself is overrated. Only two of the last nine MVP's went on to win the Championship. The MVP only ever means anything if it's accompanied by the Finals MVP when everything is said and done. :p

That's rediculous. Not even LeBrons family would say something that stupid. Right now Wade is a Defensive Player of the Year candidate and his offensive numbers are as good as, if not better, then James'.

And how exactly does James make his teammates better? I look at the players who left Cavs and are playing better like Gooden, hell even Hughes, who James did nothing for, and then look at how everyone who joins Cavs put up career lows across the board. All they do there is play defense and hit open shots. Mo has had his assists cut in half. Wally, who used to be a good shooter is all but disappeared. Ben is doing nothing. Sorry but I don't see anyone on that roster who has become better players because of James.

There are only three candidates right now and those are James, Bryant and Howard, and James will get it.

Lebron's defense is better than d -wade this year and thats a fact. if you want to talk about his defense the past 2 years than fine he wasn't that good but this year his defense is the most noticable change in his game. he now guards the other teams "star" player and does a pretty damn good job every night.

Drew Gooden was always a solid PF and to say lebron didn't make him better is rediculous. he played with lebron in LJ 2nd season when lebron was 19 years old and had his best season as a pro that year so your wrong. And Larry Hughes is a horrible example. I guess its Lebron's fault that he needed surgery and didn't play half a season 2 of the 3 years that he was there. Mo is averaging almost 5 assists a game compared to his 6(career high) that he had last year in milwaukee so your wrong on that. Ben Wallace was a bumb in his last years in detroit so who the hell cares about him. Even god would have a hard time making him the basketball player that he once was.

Your right though that most of the cavs just have to hit there open shots because lebron draws most of the attention but how lebron can distribute the ball is pretty amazing. You can't deny that he passes the ball better than d-wade and is a better all around basketball player than d-wade.

Look, I actually like d-wade and do think he's a fine b-ball player. he's going to get paid come 2010 and its going to be well deserved. erick gets me all pissy on here because of some of his comments on here and sometimes I do knock other players like d-wade to make a point but i guess i take it to far sometimes. But lebron is the better basketball player and i will stick by that.

Duck, who's the better all around basketball player in your opinion. D-wade or LJ?

I agree James' defense has improved by alot, but he's not better then Wade.
Why is it LeBron that made Gooden have a career year? How do you explain that. Just because it was his team immediately doesn't mean that everyone who is improving their game has him to thank for it. I don't see how he has made anyone better. Not one player.
You're wrong. James is not a better passer then Wade. You can't possibly back up that statement with anything rational.
I think they're about equal as they both are able to do just about everything you can ask of a player. I give Wade the nod though because he's a better defender and he's carrying a seriously crap team. Wades stats are also better, but that isn't the most important.

I told you before that Wade can win if Heat get to about 10 games above .500. But that's not the case right now and this becomes the Kobe scenario, where he was the best player in the NBA but his team just didn't have the success to make him a valid MVP candidate.

Uhm Wade leads LeBron in just about everything (points, assists, steals, blocks, free-throws), except rebounds, which is obvious since James is five inches and 60lbs bigger and is a forward.

Forgot to pick this one appart. He's averaging 3.9 assists per game right now, compared with 6.3 last year. That's close to half, which is what I said, so you're wrong on that. ;)

Duck, I'm going to stand by what i said about LJ being a better passer and overall better player.(defense included) Will just have to agree to disagree.

This year especially LJ is really coming into his own. He's becoming the most dominate player in the NBA. Seems there is nothing he can't do this year. Yes, wade has a young team that he needs to carry but look at what lebron has in cleveland. He doesn't have a scottie pippen like MJ had or a Shaq like wade had. its him and him only. Yeah Mo is a good pg and he has some nice role players around him but he's that whole team. Undefeated at home this year and ontop or a game back in the east and its all because of lebron.

I'll take lebron everytime over d-wade.

The year they got drafted in 04, d-wade was the more NBA ready player than lebron but now that all has changed imo. Not saying d-wade got bad, its just lebron got that good.

I'll take your word for it but i saw 4.4 assists per game.

And Mo's numbers aren't that bad considering he plays with lebron who sometimes plays the pg position.

Big game last night from Mo :)

What team are you a fan of by the way? LA?

There isn't a GM in the NBA that wouldn't take James over Wade. That's not the point. Point is that individually they're pretty much equal right now. James just has a team that works better while Wade has no support. Team success can obviously also be an individual achievement, but people who say Kobe was so much better last year then the year before are saying that only because of their record. He didn't really do anything any different. The team just clicked. That's what is happening in Cleveland. It's not that James has become that much better, obviously he has on defense, but the team around him are clicking and playing lock down D on everyone.

my pick to win it all this year.

I forget sometimes that LA does have 2 teams. Clippers might as well pack it up and get the hell out of LA. That team will NEVER be #1 in LA let alone the NBA.

    I can agree with this.

Cavs D is pretty good all around and probably top in the league(not sure) I guess coaching has something to do with there success this year as well.
