Thats about par for the course when you email these chumps. I liked the other leagues coverage on Setanta too. The Ligue 1, the Eredivisie, the highlight shows, the CL qualifers. Seems like we arent going to get any of that.
I enjoy Ligue 1 and seems like Setanta Sports is televising more SPL (good stuff, and I will always have a place in my heart for SCO and the SPL because my wife and I absolutely loved our stay there). The Scots were incredibly friendly folk. P.S. Neither of us are Scottish.
Setanta gets the FA cup this year and a handful of Arsenal Premier League games You likely won't see any CL on Setanta or FSC because they don't have the rights. For qualifiers and Group stages you'll have to resort to ESPN360 and UEFA.com which costs 5-7 dollars a match from what I remember last year.
For those of us who can't get ESPN 360 it looks like the game is delayed on ESPN Deportes at 6 pm. You can usually find this channel at Mexican restaurants. http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/spo...e=20080813&sport=SO&country=Estados_Unidos_ET
I don't think I get that channel. But I do get ESPN360. Hopefully I can watch it on replay as I'll be traveling Wednesday. This not being on Setanta suck too. I got Setanta because I hated watching matches on my computer!
Setanta have confirmed that they will NOT be showing the CL 3rd round matches in the US: From: "Setanta Sports" <customerservice-usa@setanta.com> ... No, we do not have those matches. FC Twente matches in the US live? If so, when will the programming section on your site be updated?
We dont have Eredivisie, Ligue 1, the CL qualifiers or any of the highlights shows you may have enjoyed last year, but WE GOT THE SPL!!! Yeah baby! Lower division English football!! For only 15$ a month! Im going to cancel real soon.
Its online and you have to wait a day after it airs in the UK but I highly suggest downloading Match of the Day on Bittorrent. It is interesting to see a show produced in England for an English audience. It is all highlights but you get to see matches you never would otherwise and they always show Arsenal.
I don't expect I'll drop Setanta, but it certainly seems to be lagging a bit in its programming. When I first signed up for it last year, I was watching the channel a lot more than I have in recent months.
myp2p doesn't list our game for Weds, just a few other qualifiers featuring Central and Eastern European teams. Is it actually going to be impossible to watch this game live at all? Apparently (according to http://www.livesportontv.com/sportindex.php?id=1 , a source I found to be very accurate while living in England) the game is only on Setanta Sports in the UK, while L'pool is on ITV. This isn't getting much airplay anywhere it seems.
Its the principle of it, they have dropped so much of their programming from last year, its shocking. I might as well just fire up the internet streams.
This is bullshit. ESPN360 should have a subscription based service, and not just be available to those who subscribe to a few select ISP's - especially when many people don't even have a choice to switch. I will just have to rely on replays for tomorrow's game.
ESPN360 and Setanta will be it for me. I am quickly sick of streams and only want to use them on a must use basis.
I'm looking at the ESPN TV listings right now, and it's showing Twente - Arsenal live on ESPN2 HD, and Shalke - Athletico Madrid on 360.
The Arsenal match will be on 360 as well. They show multiple matches at the same time. Wish I had HD now.
