Does anyone on here live in Austin? I am in the states for 3 months as of 2 weeks tomorrow. I will be in Austin for the Fulham game and wondered if anyone wants to hook up for a pint of beer and to watch the game. Let me know!
I'm not in Austin, but I know there are some gunners up there who hit the pub. I believe they go to Fados. Are you in Austin the whole time? If so, PM me when you get to Austin as I get up that way from time to time. Cam EDIT: Here is some info. http://www.arsenalamerica.com/2007/11/24/aa-austin-branch-the-arsenal-aesthetic/
yah, it is tough with those early morning matches. A lot of times I put them on TIVO, sleep an extra 15 minutes, then skip through halftime, watching 90 minutes straight. Then have a nice breakfast and take a mid-morning nap. Thankfully part of the year Arizona in on Mountain time, so I get an hour back during that period.
OMFG Jesus H Christ on a raft!!!!!!!! As of today GolTV is no longer available on DishNetwork!! They are showing Fox Sports en Espanol on that channel now. I never heard any rumours about this. I'm screwed for the weekend!!!!!! O Noes, indeed!
It's a dispute over payments between the two companies. Their customer service is ridiculous, I explained my displeasure about this very clearly to their rep, who paused and then replied, "a technician was supposed to visit you today?" I just hung up. Looks like they lost a customer come spring next year when my contract ends.
Yep. I got every possible discount, just kept asking them, and I always ckeck their sites to see what promotion is going on, i'm slowly learning how not to get ripped off. All you gotta do with Cable companies is just ask. If you don't ask they won't tell you.
I got stiffed by Comcast on the MLS Direct Kick package this year. It's supposed to be in the neighborhood of $70 but when I signed up the Comcast guy said because I was calling before the season started I was getting an early bird special for 1/2 price. I had no problems paying the full price but was pretty happy to get that deal. I paid what I thought was the only installment due and then got billed again the next month. I called Comcast to find out why I had been double billed only to be told that there was no early bird special. They essentially blamed the whole episode on a rogue employee.
same with my guide, although the goltv schedule online says they are showing both games. i'm going to get up for the hamburg-real game and see if that's on tomorrow morning (hopefully it is). if it isn't, that would suck, but hopefully there will be a decent stream on the internet
yah. usual dish network garbage. they dump goltv without warning the day I really need it. they have a habit of botching channels just when you want to be watching them. so no Emirates Cup for any of us with dish network apparently. not a happy camper here.
I e-mailed them about the notification thing and just got a copy/paste thing. I'll be doing research as to other companies offering.
So I've noticed that there are a lot of posts in here about watching games online and it got me thinking. I only intend to track TV in the U.S. But any game that's not on TV can almost surely be seen online. So would it be worth it to have an "Watching Arsenal online" thread? Then we could keep this one for TV and the other one for online. We'd need someone to volunteer to take care of updating it. Unless everybody likes it as it is, in which case, carry on. Please weigh in with your thoughts.
Epi, This is a great idea. TV schedules and (mostly illegal) online feeds are two different subjects. I'd prefer to just see TV listings and discussion on this thread.
