With summer approaching i decided that while compiling som iCal calendars for the MLS season, SuperLiga and the US Open Cup, I'd also make one for MLS international friendlies. I want to make the list complete as possible so please if you see one missing or have a correction feel free to add to this list especially if you know of one that is missing and official. Chicago Fire vs Cracovia scheduled June 22, 2007 from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM Location: Toyota Park, IL LA Galaxy vs Chelsea scheduled July 21, 2007 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM Location: Home Depot Center, CA Crew vs Aston Villa scheduled July 28, 2007 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM Location: Columbus Crew Stadium LA Galaxy vs Rangers scheduled June 23, 2007 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM Location: Home Depot Center Toronto FC vs Benefica scheduled May 23, 2007 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM LA Galaxy vs Vancouver Whitecaps FC Location: Vancouver, BC scheduled November 3, 2007 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM LA Galaxy vs Tigres scheduled July 17, 2007 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM Location: Home Depot Center Chicago Fire vs Celtic scheduled July 22, 2007 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM Location: Toyota Park, IL

It's interesting that DCU hasn't announced any friendlies. Perhaps they felt that the friendlies last year cost their team some fitness down the stretch. The played Celtic, Real Madrid in Seattle, and many of the starters played in the All-Star game against Chelsea.
That and the fact that Houston hasn't either. with still a potential Copa Sudamericana, Open Cup, SuperLiga, and possible call ups of players for U-20 World Cup, Gold Cup and Copa America, DC United agreeing to any friendlies this summer would seem unwise.
Montreal Impact may well soon be a MLS team.... Same with the Vancouver who ever the hell they are's i know that AEK is coming this summer so they would prbably play in Chicago or New York.. not exactly sure where and when and against whom tho
FWIW, the official draw for the Copa Sudamericana is May 22. So, we'll know within a week if a MLS team is invited and who they will be. I'm surprised that info hasn't been leaked at all.

The RSL Reserve team played the Fijian National Team in a snowstorm last month (the same night RSL defeated KC in an Open Cup play in game). The RSL Reserves won 3-0. You can read an interesting account of the Fijians (and one player in particular) written by BigSoccer member Poqui Moqui on the RSLFM Report Blog - Fiji MNT - My Personal Encounter. It's a worthwhile read. Sounds like the Chinese NT is playing a couple of MLS teams - they play at RSL on June 7. Both games follow the USNT-China game in San Jose on June 2nd. The Chinese are preparing for the 2007 Asian Cup in July.
Comprehensive MLS Club Friendly Match Thread Thought it would be useful to start a thread that listed all of the friendly matches for MLS clubs for 2007 and any television listings for them. Things get underway this Wednesday as Toronto takes on Benfica and LA faces Rangers. To my knowledge, both of these matches will only be televised locally. Other friendlies I am aware of: 6/7 - RSL vs. China 6/10 - Colorado vs. China 6/22 - Chicago vs. Cracovia 7/17 - LA vs. Tigres 7/21 - LA vs. Chelsea 7/22 - Chicago vs. Celtic 7/25 - Toronto vs. Aston Villa 7/28 - Columbus vs. Aston Villa Please add any others I might have missed.
Re: Comprehensive MLS Club Friendly Match Thread Chinese Natl Team is playing a 3 game series vs. the US Nats and 2 MLS clubs.
