I figured it would be cool to do a recap of everything the league accomplished this year.

Maybe we could also point out some cons and steps back that the league took this year as well. (if there are any :p)

    - First time the league had 3,000,000 total fans
    - First time the league had 3 teams average over 20k per game.
    - 7 out of 13 teams playing in SSS. (up from 5 out of 12)
    - Don Garber said most of the teams are profitable.
    - First time every game was broadcast (at least regionally)

Let's keep this going, guys. :)

    - David Beckham is the first and only DP to not make the playoffs in his first season. Ironically, the DP spot is nicknamed "The Beckham Rule."

    - This is the first year MLS has had a tv show in England

    - This year (Ricardo Clark, Dynamo) saw a player recieve the harshest suspension in MLS history

    - DC United had a game this year beat the attendance of every game Washington's MLB team played all year long, and both played in the same stadium this season.

    - This year saw the highest rated game involving an MLS team ever (Galaxy/Chelsea)

    - The first and second longest scoreless streak (TFC), AND the longest streak of not being scored on (Houston) happened this year.

    - This is the first year that an MLS player (Beckham) was in a Super Bowl commercial

    Here are some more.

First global broadcasting rights sold. MLS was available in about 20 countries in eastern europe, the middle east and asia for the first time ever.

First time MLS players were featured of multiple mainstream magazines. Beckham, Angel, Blanco, Johnson, etc.

First time MLS highlights led a SportsCenter broadcast.

First time the regular season standings really mattered (SuperLiga, new playoff format, etc)
