Because most of those tickets were sold before Mr. Beckham got hurt, so from here and out LA is going to get 23,000+ game regardless how and who there playing. Chivas I don't know there are alot of Mexican fans out there but they all don't care about Chivas team, so they only get Mexican fans that are Chivas fans. They must not be bring in any American fans to the games (LA Galaxy are getting must of the American fans), so once they start to get more of the American fans to go to the games there always are going to be getting crowds 9,000-12,000.
What the ---- DC only 18,918, I thought you guys had over 18,000 sold a week before the game. Just kidding you guys are doing great, I had 23,500 for my prediction so you guys screwed me. I thought for sure you would have gotten 23,000+ with you guys playing NE and playing for first place in the division.
Well, it's never a good sign when Dr Kovorkian is throwing tail-gate parties in the HDC parking lot. Maybe I've missed out, but I've only had Puerto Rican rum...and usually the cheap stuff... Still, a buzz is a buzz.
why would you predict 23,500 that would probably be a record regular season number for a Sunday game in DC. We have steady good attendance but it doesn't go into mid 20s on Sunday night vs NE hehe
Don Q and Barrilito are good mixing rums from Puerto Rico. Brugal is a decent mixing rum from Dominican Republic. Flor de Caña... Nicaragua. Havana Club... from Cuba. Havana Club is ubiquitous outside of the US. If you're ever in Europe, Canada, Mexico or elsewhere in the Americas, you can get Havana Club. If you're feeling lucky w/ Customs and you DON'T bring in cigars from Cuba (just don't try your luck w/ 2 things)... then you can get away w/ bringing it in. [/rum rant]
I was in the press box for the Thursday night game when they announced 9,306. There were no more than 5,000 on Thursday. Tickets sold is a beautiful thing in MLS circles.
OK, I'm going to use the Dispatch's numbers after all. WEEK 22 RESULTS The MLS average attendance for the week was 16,208. The week twenty two winners are scaryice and wolfp10, each off a total of 6,313 for the six games over the weekend, our first tie for first place this year. El Duderino finished third, just 500 back. Cleazer's streak of top ten finishes reached 6 in a row. He's also been in the top 10 12 times out of 22 weeks. The number of players dropped once again, with 34. Of course, this team has gotten crowds like that on Saturday nights pre-Beckham and during our era of darkness, so perhaps we actually have a fan base...
I for one am absolutely opposed to that, given how low I finished for the week!!! The number have to be official!!! Who the hell would support using non-MLS numbers??
