    Guam do hokey-pokey

They're in, they're out - we're shakin all about in fits of laughter.

This recent article (2 December) suggests Guam haven't withdrawn - or maybe the writer is confused. It is, after all, just the official AFC site - how would they know?

Did someone post a source that stated Guam withdrew? I don't remember reading one...

    Maldives Mongolia LIVE NOW!!!!!

Maldives took a 1-0 lead on 3 minutes via Ali Ashfaq. At 14 minutes the Mongolian keeper was injured and substituted.

    Maldives lead 2-0 on aggregate.

    Re: Maldives Mongolia LIVE NOW!!!!!

    Final score

Maldives 12 (Ali Ashfaq 3 min, 60 min, 63 min, 67 min, Nizam 41 min, Oppo 46 min, 48 min, Asad 65 min, Thoriq 74 min, 78 min, Own Goal 75 min, Nazeeh 79 min)
    Mongolia 0

Apparently Nazeeh scored twice (and no Nazeeh appeared on the match sheet) for Nazeeh could be Nizam.

It's all a bit confusing anyhow.

Which means that Sri Lanka and Laos are both in, no matter what they do in their last game. (Assuming Guam really has dropped out.)

    2nd leg

    Sri Lanka 3 Laos 0
(Sri Lanka advances 3-0 on aggregate)

Laos advances because Nepal and Guam withdrew.

Macau being knocked out is horrible. Between the country of my birth, Puerto Rico, not even entering and the country my mom is from not going on to the next stage, I no longer have anyone to support.

I know that in the past Asia has run some group stages at a single site, or two sites, as opposed to a full set of home-and-away games. Does anyone know if they plan to do that this time around?

The schedules are almost the same (Group 3 is a tad different).

    18/2 - 1v2, 3v4
    31/3 - 3v2, 4v1
    9/6 - 1v3, 2v4
    8/9 - 3v1, 4v2
    13/10 - 2v1, 4v3
    17/11 - 1v4, 2v3

Which is the standard way groups of 4 play a full round-robin these days (ie Champs League has ABCCAB for the six rounds)

So we can probably guess 95% of the remaining matches already.

I am presuming that the home side is listed first? If so, I am going to have to circle March 3, Sept. 8, and October 13 on my calendar.
