I think a good sponsor for them would be Guarana Antarctic. Not only am I a big fan of their soda/pop (leaves Mt Dew, in the dust). But they are also a big sponsor of the Brazilian Nats.
TAM is a quality airline for a quality organization. And Guarana Antarctic should be official soda, it's the best. And we can keep going with Kaiser, Brahma or Skol for the beer. The team started late, but they seem to be putting together a good organization. They are going to make it hard to drop them when the Strikers come into the league. So when are they going to start advertising?
Probably just a rumor, but this came out today: http://www.netvasco.com.br/news/noticias13/31502.shtml In a nutshell: Romario might be joining Zinho at FC.... The possibility was also mentioned on a Brazilian TV show last night (Terceiro Tempo - Milton Neves)
As it is, this team that we have on our hands (on paper) will be very competitive. With the addition of Romario, this team will more likely than not compete with most MLS teams. I hope all this talent translates into an exciting first season of soccer! We should all try and get at least one friend to purchase tickets (or season tickets). If we all took at least one person along with us it'd help spread the word and we'll pack tropical park "stadium" in no time.
I agree but try telling my Argentinian freinds to come out to watch soccer. "Somos, "snobs" de futbol." Ojala!
Che Bostero: Wow things must be getting pretty bad in Argentina. All the Argentine players are going to play in Brasil and the Brasilian players are coming to the USA. Why don't thye just save a step and send them all here. I would love to have Carlos Tevez, Sebastian Dominguez , Javier Mascherano playing here. No doubt they would draw a crowd. Especially in South Florida.
More Romario-to-FC speculation. This time from spanish-language press in L.A. 2nd press report refering to Miami FC as an MLS club....maybe they know somehting we don´t? http://www.laopinion.com/deportes/futbol/?rkey=00060320170601328165
I'd be all for it. It would sure as hell give us a lot more press coverage, and get even more fans in the stands.
