My wish is for significant reform of the political process. The system of organized corruption has got to go. In my ideal world, the dems would rise up as the party of reform, pinning the label of corrupt corporate lackeys on the reeps.
I wish for democracy to spread as fast in 2006 as it did in 2005 so peoples of all nations can bitch and moan on a soccer board about their nations politics
I'm wishing for a legitimate option to the Dems and Reps - both of which have proven sucky. (That's sophisticated political jargon)
You expect this from the party in the pocket of trial lawyers? EDITED FOR TYPO. Always happy to keep 'em laughing...
Is that some new term for environmental lawyers? Normally I don't engage in spelling smack......but that was just too good to pass up.
BTW, Yoss, what kind of law you practice. Me= BI defense. car accidents/slipnfall/ wrongful death, etc. PS. I wish John Edwards gains power in something in 2006, that would guarantee much work for me for years to come.
I used to do major product liability defense work. I've been a lawyer for the tobacco companies; tire manufacturers; manufacturers of asbestos-containing products, pharmaceutical industry; etc. A good friend of mine from undergrad but who went to a different law school and does real estate would always greet me with....."how's Satan been treating you lately?" And regarding your Edwards comment....darn straight. I used to laugh at DRI conferences, etc., when people would complain about the plaintiffs' bar. My response was always...."WTF, would you be doing for a living without them?" Now.....let's just say I work for the government doing exclusively appellate work. The pay isn't quite as good as it was at JonesDayNightsWeekends.... ....but the quality of life can't be beat.
