Quite comparable given Liverpool's opponents. ;) Liverpool needing 3 goals to equalize with, what, less than 40 (?) minutes to play.

But based strictly on the number of goals needed to avoid elimination, I can't recall a team needing to score four goals with an hour left to play.

For me, quite possibly the best comeback ever in Europe. :)

    amazing comeback.

I can think of four games since 98 that should be put above this in terms of comebacks, as all happened in the Champs League.

    but this is amazing nonetheless.

Well done, carry the flag for the EPL.

Fantastic comeback, I'm impressed. I have rarely seen this level of garra. This is the stuff legends are made of.

    Eh?

Where have all these people come from...:)

Its too late, I'm quite tired and hungry - so I'll post me thoughts later when they can scrape me off the ceiling.

    C'mon Boro

I'm personally here to congratulate you guys. 4 goal comebacks to make a European cup semifinal just don't happen to teams like ours. Amazing really.

I really loved the quiet ambience of Ganu rants and comments here and there, but scoring 4 goals to advance to a European semifinal!!!

Damn GANU i know you're happy, ecstatic, words maybe cannot describe it right?

    We seem to play well against Eastern European opposition;

    Boro 3-0 Banik Ostrava
    Boro 3-0 Partizan Belgrade
    Boro 3-0 Dnipro
    Boro 2-0 Litex

I would take a draw in Romania so we can finish them off at home.

I just wanna jump in again on this bandwagon.

Still racking my brains, to think of a situation when we have come back from 3 goals down to win...

I don't think we ever have.

Amazing result last night. I am a bit disappointed that I couldn't watch much of the game, as someone else wanted to watch another channel. But I saw it at 1-0 to Basel and then the goal scored by Viduka, which was very well taken.
I didn't turn the TV back over until with something like 10 minutes to go, with it at 3-1 and my GF (who hates football) says to me that Boro will get the 4th. She kept saying it, when it looked all but over.
So well done and I hope you guys make the final. After a performance from your team like that, you deserve it.

Geordies next. Grrrrrrr Geordies. Funny when they lose mind you. :)

Good thing about this season, is that we are almost playing for fun in the league now. I don't think we can get relegated - so maybe they play with a bit more looseness in this match. Normally the pressure to win gets to them, playing with a bit more freedom could see us snatch the three points tomorrow.

    I hope...

    4-2 against the Addicks? I like.... :)

Now we need to just beat West Ham at Villa Park to clinch a UEFA Cup place for definite for next season.

But we'll win the UEFA cup anyway... :p

Oh btw, I'll tell you what a European cup final is like Toon. Seeing as you'll never experience one with that 'big' club of yours. *chortle* *chortle*
