We start another season of IIHF Tournaments in the Christmas holday. The lower divisions of the U20 (Junior) ladder have already started or are about to start. The main tournament begins Boxing Day in Vancouver, Kelowna, and Kamloops.
Division I U20 (Junior) Results Group A (Bled, Slovenia) 1. Germany 2. Denmark 3. Slovenia 4. France 5. Ukraine 6. Japan Group B (Minsk, Belarus) 1. Belarus 2. Kazakhstan 3. Italy 4. Poland 5. Austria 6. Hungary Germany and Belarus go up the the top flight for next year while Japan and Hungary get relegated to Division II.
In Div III of the WJHC Armenia lost 50-0 to Iceland and they were out shot 133-10. I think it is going to get worse for them when they play Lithuania. On the bright side they only lost 21-2 against Bulgaria today.
