(I'm assuming this is the schedule... the schedule says "Buk-gyeong" and "Dong-gyeong"... I'm guessing that means "Chinese team" and "Japanese team", respectively.)

MBC will be the major sponsor of this tournament, and since these matches are nowhere near "prime-time", hopefully they'll all be on TV. Those of you outside Korea would be able to watch MBC's video stream.

Don't think I'll be making any of these matches, as unless there's a supporters' bus to Tongyeong from Busan, I'll be going to see Mipo Dockyard (K2-League) vs. Mutsuura FC (Japanese amateur) instead.

 

Anyone know how Tokyo Verdy vs. Beijing Guo'an finished?

Busan 0-2 Chunnam, 56th minute.

Cooke gets a red card in the 27th for punching a defender in the face during a collision.

Chunnam scored late in the first, early in the second, and threw away a chance at a third shortly after it was 2-0.

Somehow reassuring it's the same-old Busan I'cons out there again this season.

 

Ends 0-2.

Wonder if Cookie can play on Thursday against Tokyo...

 

Feb 26 matches:

Busan win 2-1 over Tokyo Verdy, both goals by Cookie. No word on whether Marsden or either of Busan's two trialing strikers played.

Chunnam currently up 2-0 over Beijing early in the second, "Modda" with both goals (15th and 53rd). Kim Nam-il (yawn) is playing.

 

Chunnam defeat Beijing 4-1.

Shin Byeong-ho with the Dragons' third, and Yi gwang-jae scored their fourth.

Gao someone-rather scored a late consolation goal for Beijing.
