Does anyone know where the 2004 Cup and All Star will be held?

    Thanks

I'm going to say the All-Star game will be at Soldier Field, and MLS Cup will return to RFK.

The word for MLS Cup 2004, is that HDC, RFK & an "unnamed East Coast venue" have submitted bids.

After watching the way the fire fans supported their team i woulndt object to chicago hosting the final even though it will be cold and mls would have to work around the fire

I vote for the HDC again.

You can't beat the atmosphere in our stadium. It really rocked today when people in the stadium were finally exposed to some exciting football for the first time all season (All star game not withstanding.)

Also, for this time of year, I think LA is almost an attractive vacation destination. I think fans from all over the country find it easier to get a group together to head to warm weather.

Keep the marque events in SSS for the near future. After 2004, there will be plenty of options for the big matches

I gotta disagree on the best atmosphere in a stadium, Spartan Rocked when you were here.

    RFK would be nice...

It's for completely selfish reasons, but RFK would be good for us. Maybe if the DC sports/stadium commission sees a sold-out RFK, they'll see dollar signs in soccer, and quit holding out for the baseball team that we'll never get.

But yeah, November in L.A. wouldn't be a drag either.

You know, when I first read this, I immediatley thought to disagree. But then, I remembered J.P. Dellacamara's comment that "This is our Wembley" when he was gushing over Victoria Street at the end of the game. And now I think, why not? All the points you make in your post are great, and make sense. When we get all our SSS's up and running in a decade or so, perhaps we can reinstate the whole Super Bowlesque style of cycling the Cup between different MLS cities, but until then, I like the whole "American Wembley" idea.
