What's happened to Udinese? It seems that since word came out that Jankulovski is going to Milan this summer that Udinese has lost their steam. They couldn't meet his contract demands? Or is he just another one of these babies who just want to play for a “big club” instead of making his club a big club?

Udinese was REALLY unlucky against Bologna. They gave up the early goal and poured on the pressure the rest of the game, but Pagliuca was unbeatable and they also hit the post twice.

This season, it seems like 3rd-place has belonged to a "flavor of the month" team. At first, it was Lecce. Then Cagliari was up there briefly, then Udinese, now it's Sampdoria. In the end, it'll probably wind up being Inter. At least it looks unlikely that Roma will grab the 4th CL spot. It'd be nice to have a completely new team in there.

what I'm curious about is will udinese (always the best selling team in my eyes)...keep some of its stars if they finished 4th and reached the CL?...

for my money though they've peaked a bit....when 40 yr old Sensini is your best defender its not likely to last a whole season.

Yea, dont think they would sell anybody off if they made CL. They are also linked with Defender Parisi from Messina, Linked the article on a post in the Messina thread if u want to have a read. Obviously they feel that they would need to bolster their defence.

    And now a fantastic 1 x 5 against Palermo... :)

Again we can fight for a CL spot. And I believe we can go on.

    About market...

IMO Iaquinta and Jankulovski will go out.But Fava can replace Iaquinta at same level(or a little less) and we have Mauri to put it on.Goitom can be a good choice, maybe. And since Udinese have money, they can try to buy some players. At CL or UEFA Cup...

    Udinese 4 x 1 Milan :)

What a result.Even playing with "Milan B".Now Roma. And maybe our "second" title can appear...

that is a nice win, with roma's defense the udinese attack can have a field day. You say "second" title, what was the first??...

thats cool, I figured it was something different when you put it in quotes. Still, you had me looking through decades of coppa italia winners to see if they'd ever won that...;)

Haha...our best result is a Serie A runner-up...I believe 1958 or 1959,or something like that.

But at least we have one trophy :D

I bet Udinese wishes they could play Lecce every week. I believe that's 4 for 4 against Lecce this year. I liked Spalletti going with 4 attackers against Lecce's 10 man squad in the second half.

    Next Match:

    Lazio x Udinese

An important match. We need to win or draw at least.Since we'll have the crucial game against Samp next weekend,I believe 3 points would be soooo sweetyyy....

    But Lazio at Olimpico...don't know.

CHEERS to Udinese. Nice win today.
I spent five years going to Udinese matches off and on while my bro. was over in Italy. Other than my home town club Udinese is the side I watch out for. Bring on Sampdoria! Well on lads.

    Udinese 59 +16 (h) Sampdoria, (a) Cagliari, (h) Milan
    Sampdoria 59 +14 (a) Udinese, (h) Inter, (a) Bologna

    Coppa Italia:

    Roma 1 x 1 Udinese

A very good result. Now a 0-0 draw or a victory can lead us to the final :)

GREAT goal by Bertotto to equalize near the end. Only bad news was the injury to Jankulovski who seemed to tweak his knee after getting tackled by the thuggish Cufre. Sounds like he might miss the big game Sunday vs Sampdoria.

Hm...now negotiations between Jankulovski and another clubs can freeze, heh?

Instead of,probably Spalletti will make a 3-4-3 or stay with a 3-5-2 putting Mauri or even Di Natale at RM(Since Jankulovski was playing at RM and Zenoni at LM).

Stefano Mauri, this guy is a fabulous player. Scores regularly enough and puts in a shift! He's also been capped by Lippi.
