    Inter vs Milan
    Parma vs. Bologna
    Roma vs. Lazio
    Siena vs. Fiorentina
    Palermo vs. Juventus

Reggina-Messina should be very interesting. Their fans really hate each other.

from this list I'd go with the Milan derby for the coming season. If Moratti leaves Mancini alone and lets him mold the squad they could finally really challenge milan and juve for the title...

Yea Messina and Reggina will be a good one to see and any derby is a fiery occassion but if I had to pick one it would be the Derby d'Italia between Inter and the Dead Lady aka Juve just because of the history.

I think the Derby Italia and the Milan Derby and Milan vs Juve will be the ones to watch. These three teams will be in a dogfight for the scudetto so the second half edition of these derbies will be interesting especially if they come close to the end of the season.

I think Lazio, Roma, and Parma should be considered second tier in comparison to the above three but either of these teams could surprise everyone.

I think we should add to the list the game Palermo-Messina.
I have some work-mates coming from Sicily and they are already arguing - in a friendly way, that's sure - about upcoming matches in A between their 2 sides.
Drop down the list Bologna-Parma: it's a derby in an extended meaning, but you won't feel here an heavy involving atmosphere. Much better were derbies between us and Bologna ..........

Long time no see, modenafc1912. Sorry about the canarini going down. :( What are your hopes for them to come straight back up next season?

    Hello again Sue!

Yes I've been away a long while, honestly there was anything good to write about my team. Has been a tremendous season for us: yellowblue fans had to see so many disappointing games and - that's the most disgusting thing - a strange behaviour in certain players. I get the feeling we'll never know the truth about the past season, how things really has gone inside the team. Despite all this, we had till the end the opportunity to save ourselves but it was thrown away one more time ...

About next season, reading Modena forums, you may understand that enthusiasm has mostly vanished and you can get it even looking at the season holders: actually only 3000 out of 13000 and more holders confirmed, there's still time but forecasts say no more than 5000-5500. It's obvious, we are down to serie B and many band-wagoners fans will find another way to spend their spare-time: it will be easier to find a good position at the stadium! People who have been with the team in serie C, will be with the Canaries in serie B too.
Many players of the past season have left, we changed coach too: we'll play with 4-4-2 and the wings will be very important in the next Modena. It's a younger team, we needed to refresh: the transfers window is still open in both directions, we need to sell a couple players to make money (Amoruso and Kamara first, and even Milanetto) and maybe buy some other players fitting more to serie B. My hopes for now are to make a good championship and make yellowblue fans smile again: about serie A, hmmm I think we need to improve to aim it immediately.

Let me spend 2 words about us, Modena fans: we have been, in these 2 serie A years, one of the most loyal fanbase. At home, almost always sold out, away we have been everywhere, even in the last games. Let me say - and other people in Italy could confirm it - that, in a theoric fanbase championship, we would have been in one of the highest places.
    FORZA MODENA!

Sorry to hear things have gone downhill so much at the club. As for a "championship of fans", apparently there is something of a rating for that, at least in terms of "Fair Play". Modena fans tied for 5th among Serie A team fans in the competition for the Trofeo Fair Play Gaetano Scirea. No idea how they calculate the points:

This trophy aims to award the most correct fans of the league. The less problems (riots, objects thrown on the fields ...) created, the more points earned in this ladder. We got the UEFA Cup of the Fans!!!

I can't wait to see Roma play Juventus. After the 4-0 Roma victory last season and now Capello and Zebina (and possibly Emerson) going to Juve the games will be intense.

The Palermo-Juve/Milan rivalry will be interesting. The North-South Italy divide at its fullest extent. Palermo is a massive city and will be looking to establish a Serie A identity, especially against big northern clubs.

don't forget the Tuscan Derby of Fiorentina Vs Siena. Both teams have stadiums named after Artemio Franchi and should be a good derby.

Roma vs Juventus is gonna be my favorite to watch after i saw the 4-0 trashing of last year. Totti and Cassano are really gonna give it to Juve this year.
