    Dirty Jerzee
Metros on a five game winning streak
    Devils in the NHL Finals
Nets sweeping Detroit to get in the NBA finals

This must be a sign of the apocalypse.

As a lifelong NJ resident, I thought that when the Nets made the NBA Finals last year it was one of the seven signs. Amazingly, the world continued. It will continue this week as well.

I've become convinced that it would take a national championship in football for Rutgers to end all life as we know it.

    N-E-T-S.....NETS! NETS! NETS!

Still no respect from the NY Post & Daily News for the 3 local sports teams even though a large percentage of their readers are "New Jerseyeans" who enjoy reading the paper or people who work in the city.

Nets clobbered Detroit in Game 3 and the front page of the sports section for both papers was Annika Sorentstam (whoopde-damn-doo). The Devils win and we get a story of Mike Piazza's groin.

Metros win their 5th in a row and I'll be shocked if either paper has anything more than the usual AP news release in Sunday's edition. Of course, there will be plenty of room in it on how the Mets got their butts kicked again.

    Shame on them.

hey im from nj but i'm a knick and a ranger fan so i hope the nets and devils lose, but lets go metros 5 in a row wow, i remember when edmudo rodriguez and hernan dario were missing point blank shots 10 times a game, and nicola caricola led the league in scoring for a week except all the goals he scored were against the metros, the only thing that scares me is even in those lowly days we were drawing closer to 20 g than 5 g. peace

Yeah cause winning 5 regular season games in a row compares winning birth to a cup final.

5 in a row... Did any team win 5 in a row last year? Have we ever won 5 in a row in our history? What's the longest MLS winning streak? Am I asking too much questions?

No, you're asking too many questions.

5 in a row now won't mean sh t to me if they don't win the MLS Cup, because this team is good enough to win it. Hopefully this continues through the playoffs.

I think LA had a 15 game winning streak - not just unbeaten, but winning - across two seasons (regular, not post). Could be wrong, so sorry if I am.
