    college deferral

Good for Callie (Withers, Beat and Stanford) to stay in school three more months and graduate on time.

    I'm proud of her! :)

I'd be interested in seeing a list, for each team, of players that are new and ones that have been let go. If those knowledgeable in that area for particular teams would help me out, I'd appreciate it. Meanwhile, here's the list for the Freedom:

    OUT:
    Pu Wei (back in 2004)
Ann Cook (now on CyberRays roster)
Anne Makinen (now on Charge roster)
    Tracey Milburn
    Stephanie Rigamat
    Erin Fahey
    Kathy Hoverman

    IN:
    Lori Lindsey (traded from Spirit)
    Kelly Golebiowski (discovery/international player)
    Gao Hong (traded from Power)
Sandra Minnert (international player, coming in early June)

? explaiations which i forgot to put in my post

Hoffman is inactive pending a visa

Makinen is in league limbo on her trade regarding her green card or lack therof.

Erica Iverson nor the charge officially announced her retirement. this is important because I believe she may still count against the cap...otherwise she would be free and in boston by now. hence the long story caption...she is not officially retired apparently...i believe the charge site listed it as "not likely to join the team".

Could still use a list of "ins and outs" for Atlanta, Boston, and San Jose. Thanks to everyone who's posted for the other teams.

    out there
Also for the Beat, Callie Withers will be IN but after she finishes up her last semester at Stanford. I don't know if she counts on our list right now but just so that we didn't forget about her I decided to post this.

Namazi still has her in training camp.

BTW...according to the latest Women's Soccer Insider newsletter....the league has decided that a GK does not have to be named to one of the developmental spots.

    Over here!
Also from WSI, it looks like most teams are still going that route, with 5 of the 7 teams who've picked developmentals selecting at least one GK:
