The team called "Iran" in this tournament is a 2nd division club in Iran called Malavan. Although the AFC was insisting that Iran send its U23 team, fixture problems forced Iran to send Malavan as it had originally planned.
LOL I just looked at the names of the so called "Iran" squad.. never heard of any of the names before... and the name of the coach is the cities name hehe On a side note, the Uzbek team seems to be the Olympic team which played against Iranian Olympic team and got trashed.. will be interesting so see what they do against our second division club.. as far as I know Malavan has a reputation of using young players mostly.
