**these are my thoughts from the few games i have seen**

Best offensive player-Abby (Hamm would be if she was there all season)

Best defensive player-Siri I have to say she has kept this team alive this season

Team MVP-Siri same reason as above. Has stoped many games from going to lost (Jen comes next)

Best match of the year-DC-Atl best WUSA game ever.

Worst match of the year-i have no idea i avoid watching the bad ones, but i guess Boston when they made out w/ a tie thanks to Seer

Goal of the year-Pu Wei's against Atlanta

Most improved player- from what i saw at the beginning of the Cookie or J. Little.

    Most disappointing player- Pu Wei

Player that other teams hate the most- Toss up between 2nd half Goddess Mia Hamm or Siri!

    Best offensive player- Mia Hamm

    Best defensive player- Jen Grubb

    Team MVP- Mia Hamm

Best match of the year- most recent DC/ATL

Worst match of the year- 3-2 win over the CyberRays (that game was pretty ugly for both sides I thought)

Goal of the year- Bai's header (how the hell did it get in there? I'm just glad it did!)

Most improved player- Jacqui Little (actually now that I think of it, I think both Little twins really stepped it up this year!)

    Most disappointing player- Pu Wei

Best trade- Frenchie for Cookie (sorry...its the Rays fan in me! lol but really, I think both teams got what they needed)

    Best offensive player - Hamm

    Best defensive player - Mullinix

    Team MVP - Grubb

    Best match of the year - DC-ATL - 8/4

Worst match of the year ATL-DC - 4/27 - All around stinker

Goal of the year - Bai Jie - 8/4 vs ATL

Most improved player - S Little, Barr, Mak

Most disappointing player - Pu Wei, Zimny - Pu Wei = Mak for me this year, high expectations not quite matched but probably will be next year. Zimny = S Little for me, when she cuts out the mistakes she will be good.

Best trade - Pretinha for ANYTHING! Heck, I'd even say Roseli for losing our first round draft pick.

Best offensive player: Abby Wambach (but only since Mariel Margarita has played half games for half a season). Scores vital goals even during otherwise poor games.

Best defensive player: Siri Mullinix (for saving us crucial points on several occasions)

    MVP: Siri Mullinix

Best game: Atlanta at home (the second one) 3-2

Worst game: San Diego 1-0 at home (just how many shots on goal were there in that thing!?)

Most frustrating loss: Atlanta 0-1 on the road
Most dramatic win: Atlanta 3-2 at home

Best Freedom performance: Carolina 5-2 on the road
Worst Freedom performance: 1-3 at Philadelphia (why the hell did I make the roadtrip? Oh yeah, to get Kelly Smith's autograph). At least against New York in the opener, they were in the game for twenty minutes or so.

Best goal scored: Bai Jie's header against Atlanta 3-2 win.
Worst goal conceded: Kelly Smith against Philly 1-3. Good finish, but where was the Freedom D?

Disappointing players: Pu Wei (until the last minute against Atlanta, anyway). Stephanie Rigamat (though she hasn't had too many opportunities).

Player to offload as quickly as possible: Tracey Milburn (but who the heck wants her?) PLEASE, NO MORE EX-UCLA PLAYERS.

Most improved player: Don't have a clue. Wasn't here last year. But it sounds like Emmy Barr or Anne Makinnen from what other people say.

So much for my two cents (or should that be pence?)

Best offensive player -- Mia Hamm

Best defensive player -- Carrie Moore

    Team MVP -- Jen Grubb

Best match of the year -- 8/4. ATL

Worst match of the year -- Opening Day v. NY

Goal of the year -- Mia against ATL, 8/4. (Yeah, Bai's finish was spectacular, but Mia's 40+ yard run around the entire Atlanta team was more exciting.)

Most improved player -- Emmy Barr
(Honorable mention -- the entire midfield unit)

Most disappointing player -- Tracy Milburn

Best offensive player--Her Greatness, Mia Hamm!

Best defensive player--Carrie "White on Rice" Moore.

Team MVP--Jen Grubb for taking control of our defense. Abby for playing like a vet and keeping our season alive till Mia and Steffi were ready. Mia and Siri for crucial comebacks, no post season without them. I can't pick only one.

Best match of the year-- August 4, kicking the Beat's ass!!

Worst match of the year-- Tie- between the season opener with New York and that Philly game. Damn you Pichon!!!

Goal of the year--Mia's goal against Atlanta has got to be one of the most spectacular runs the WUSA has ever seen.

Most improved player--Skylar Little. She's the most improved player in the league IMO.

Most disappointing player-- Zimny. She gives me the same fuzzy feelings Hope Solo does for the NT.

Crappiest thing about the season--Loosing Lindsey Stoecker to a torn ACL

Greatest thing about the season-- Mia's comeback. Making all the doubters choke on some crow. Recognize!!!!

The "we were wrong" award--Getting our panties in a bunch over trading French for Cook and getting Little for Pretihna. Hind sight is twenty twenty.
