I think its also to get away from those situations where teams have more internationals than they should on roaster compliance day with the promise of "the green cards are coming", leading to "loans" for internationals to USL teams for a couple of weeks where the player doesn't actually go anywhere.
Has anyone heard about MLS rumor that next year they will divide conferences into "North and South" Divisions?
New U-22 roster rule info MLS has officially announced the U-22 initiative. I’ve talked about it enough. Full details in the link. Information on how many slots each team receives is below: https://t.co/Yzy0ehpU9X pic.twitter.com/WooVavBaiB— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) April 13, 2021

Great article from the Athletic on his recall to the national team, his reemergence at Colorado, where he sees his future, and where his best position is. Good quotes from both Fraser and Acosta.
Well, with the way that they are splitting up the league this year for "travel and COVID safety" reasons....divisions may be coming sooner rather than later. Seeing as how we are only playing one Eastern Conference team one game this season (I'm so happy that this game is Cincinnati btw...), and we are playing several teams 3 times....I wouldn't be surprised if the rumors come true, and come true sooner than expected
Well shoot. I missed that when I perused over the schedule on the "new look Rapids website" Anyways. The point still remains with the divisions probably happening sooner than later. I will not be surprised in the slightest if/when it happens
I'd prefer 3 conferences; rather than 4 divisions split over 2 conferences. And I want to continue to see eastern teams- I know as the league grows we can't play every team every season, but I don't want to play teams 3 times. Having said that, I'm fine with exceptions for this COVID year.
Per his Insta, Andre Shinyashiki has changed his number from 99 to 9. For now, those “are the Rapids in the market to sign a new striker?” are further quelled with that number being taken. #Rapids96 pic.twitter.com/zHH0HcTBfX— Holding The High Line (@rapids96podcast) April 16, 2021
After having complained about the lack of news concerning tickets, attendance policies, etc., I need to thank my season ticket rep for his help with securing tickets to the first 4 games yesterday online. It was quick and easy! Can't wait for the 24th!!
🚨🚨🚨 Single-game tickets for our first four games are available NOW! #Rapids96— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) April 16, 2021 [
USSF has announced that the revised USOC for 2021 is now cancelled, with hope that they can schedule some form of competition in the back half of the season.
