    Where'd they park the SUVs?

It's funny you should say that because the vast majority of radical liberals I know here on campus, including one of my roommates, are from very well-off suburbs and drive SUVs themselves.

My guess is this had to be held on a Saturday. Anti-Hussein folks have to work for a living...

You are correct, sir. This was held earlier today.

FWIW, there was also an anti-war protest in St. Paul today that drew 7,000...according to news reports.

I'm anti-Hussein and anti-imperialist. You might call me a rebel. Oh, and our protest against over-reaction to dictator removal numbered between 120,000 and 300,000 today.

Your metro area also has 6 to 7 times the population of the Mpls/St. Paul area...

I wasn't trying to one-up anyone here...just stating that a large crowd turned out in support of the troops. Certainly that's just as newsworthy as an anti-war protest.

Let's take the highest number: 300,000.

There's 8M people in New York.

    300,000 - anti-war

7,700,000 - either are pro war or dont care enough to protest

    Match point PRO-US in IRAQ.

Don't get me wrong Im anti Imperialist too but Id rather have the US go in and kill Saddam than have him in power.

How many people were at the pro-war rally in NYC?

    Just playing with the gimp.

Let's just say there was 0.

It still proves my point, WHich is that ANTI-War people are the minority.

OK, but if there were 0 at the pro-war rally, wouldn't that make pro-war people an even bigger minority?

Look, up until the troops were actually committed, and the #s got polluted, the number roughly broke down as 1/3 for, 1/3 against, and 1/3 for if certain conditions were met. I'm not trying to say the antis have ever had the majority. I'm just saying your argument is moronic.

Allow me to point out that the number of people at the rally just in NYC are vastly more people than are ever polled by any polling group.

so are you trying to say that a majority of people in american are with the anti-war movement, that in actuality the polling numbers are not correct due to the overall bias of the media groups conducting the polls? ya know, b/c there are so many people showing up for these anti-war rallies.

no, fidlerre, this is what I'm saying.
It's all right there, if only you'd read.

I'm starting to realize that's asking too much of the hawks. Unfortunately, the "smilies" here aren't advanced enough for me to render my posts in hireoglyphics.
