So there is going to be a large etertainment and shopping center built at the meadowlands. There is also going to be a parking deck built there, in order to compensate for the parking spaces lost due to the constuction. I think the clouds are building on the horizon, and we are looking at even higher parking rates at the swamp. Yet another reason to pray for a Metro Stadium in Harrison!

Well, we all could see this coming - the cost of parking sucks the way it is, but now it's just gonna get worse. Thanks for raping us, Jets Stadium.

I don't want to dwell on this to much, parking fees at Giants stadium are ridiculous of course, but we don't know what parking fees will be at the Metro Stadium either, we hope for what ?, to be free ?

Well, even if parking stays the same, since the stadium will be walking distance from the Harrison PATH stop, there is signifacantly less need to drive to a game.

    Parking will be $10

BUT expect more trouble trying to park than the "Meadowlands Fair" they have stated they will be using the stadium parking lot as a holding ground for all the construction equiptment. I think that means the gate nearest the arena will closed sometime during the season.

What ever they are, at least that money will go in part to the Metro, not to the Jet$ and Giant$.

Besides, you're a sucker if you're not getting your $10 refund at the track.

The construction equipment will be a temporary problem, but I wouldn't be too worried.
    1) PATH- As others have stated, this will make parking almost a non-issue.
And for those of us not coming from NYC, go back to #1.
    2) The Harrison PATH station serves many commuters every weekday. Much more than a typical Metro game will bring. This is because there are plenty of parking garages and lots. Those other lots will be stupid not try and cash in on this. They may even charge less because their lots would be a block or two farther away from the stadium.

The only question I have is, where to tailgate?

DC offers season ticket (and partial plan) holders the opportunity to purchase either a full- or half-season's worth of parking passes at half price sometime before the season starts, which last year cut the cost of parking from $10 to $5 per game. Someone from the ESC should check with Metro management to see if they can swing a similar deal for you guys. Probably no hope while you're at the Meadowlands, but it's something you should try to work out for Harrison.
