The Ukranian Butcher is coming to town and so is his Animal Handler - Ray Hudson. Folks if there's one game to attend in the GawdAwful Dragon Stadium this year it's Burn vs. United on May 31st. Just to review: Dema Kovalenko broke the leg of Dallas midfielder Ronnie O'Brien in a game a few weeks ago, ending his season and possibly damaging his career. Upstanding MLS citizen Dema K. did the SAME THING to Burn defender Brandon Pollard a few seasons back, ending his career. Dema thought it unnecessary to apologize publicly on both occasions. In all their wisdom the MLS Disciplinary Commitee punished The Butcher with a $1k fine and ONE GAME suspension. MLS has now defined the value it places on it's "products," $1k per leg. Coach Ray Hudson was offended at the punishment. Let's let Dema and Hudson know how we feel. Bring your body, bring your voice and for Chrissssakes bring some signs. I suggest you check out this website for ideas: http://www.notam02.no/~hcholm/altlang/ht/Ukrainian.html And finally, for any non-Burn-fan detractors who say that rough play and broken bones are just a "part of the game" and we should stop our whining: Name TWO players on your team who have had their LEG BROKEN by Dema Kovalenko... I thought so.
your 1000th post better be one saying that you'll be there, with a ukranian-dirty word sign too. heck, even we're going to make the 2 hour drive, and that's a day before i head back up to dallas to hit a flight to disney world. plus i have not one, not two, but three relatives graduating that weekend. busy schedule but the plan so far is to be there..
speak his language do the signs need to be in cyrillic to be understood by him? i know it seems pretty over- intellectual but i was just wondering. i liked to have a sign that reads - dema , i f#$%ed your mother! she liked it! yawnysan
ok well it being my 1000th post and all, I'll find some way to make it, just to yell at that Ukranian piece of feces.
Sounds like the Burn players are looking forward to it as well. Didn't Chad Deering say something recently about "payback?"
