I realize this one might be tough, but Mike at arsenalamerica told me if anyone could get the tix it would be Jeff Lancaster! Me and my buddy are Arsenal fans in Philadelphia, USA. Looking to goto the Oct 18th match at Highbury. Saw them offered by a broker at 175 GBP which I can live with, just don't want to be stuck sitting behind a pole. Thanks for your help. Jeff (sorry for the double post, think i put the first one in the wrong place)
THIS GAME WAS SOLD OUT IN 24 HOURS, HOWEVER I MIGHT BE ABLE TO PULL SOMETHING OUT OF THE FIRE. I WILL LET YOU KNOW IN DUE COURSE. JEFF.
I stand corrected, this one WILL (not might) be tough. I keep telling my mate to change his vacation time but he won't budge. I appreciate your help. Cheers Jeff
I'm in the same boat ! Dang ! I can't believe someone else from the states is having this problem as well.I feel your pain. Our tickets fell thru and you guessed it...but there's 3 of us. Me from Northern Calif and they're from Ireland. I should have known Chelsea was pie in the sky. anyone have any ideas? Besides praying and the like. I started that this morning when I found out (sob weep) Teri
TERI, If you are still coming over then the best thing to do is go to the Arsenal Supporters Club at the junction of St. Thomas' Road and Gillespie Road. (The big red house on the corner). There, genuine fans (like me) who have any spare tickets will sell them at face value to other fans seeking tickets. Ask for a lady named "PAT" who seems to be the organiser and who people approach either to sell or buy and she puts people in touch and points out "who is who". That's the best advice I can give, but I wouldn't expect "brisk trade" for this game though. Get there about an hour before, but also hang on to the last moment as well for latecomers, and people who get the last minute phone call to say that their friends can't make it. Good Luck!
Thanks, I'll be there ..unless things take a sudden turn for the better and tickets fly into my pocket. Thanks you for your helpful advice, hope to see you there and you let me buy you a beer for your troubles. Teri
Awesome! Thanks for your help Jeff. Tickets or no tickets, we'll all have to meet up for a few pints on me. Cheers Jeff
Sure thing! Let me know when you arrive. Also it might still be worth contacting Rick to get in touch with Jill Smith at Highbury. She might still be able to get her hands on a couple of tickets if requested by an "official supporters club". It's worth a try. Anything else that I hear of I will let you know.
