Here's a list of when you can conceivably attend two major league games in two different parks on the same day. Tuesday, April 19: Dodgers @ Brewers 12:05, Twins @ White Sox 7:05 Wednesday, May 25: Rockies @ Brewers 12:05, Astros @ Cubs 7:05 Wednesday, June 15: Marlins @ Cubs, 1:20, Diamondbacks @ White Sox 7:05 Wednesday June 22: Royals @ White Sox 1:05, Cubs @ Brewers 7:05 Thursday, September 22: Cubs @ Brewers 1:05, Twins @ White Sox 7:05 Friday, September 23: Astros at Cubs, 2:20, Twins @ White Sox 7:05 I have allowed 6 hours between games in Chicago & Milwaukee. The Angels host the Devil Rays & the Dodgers host the Pirates on September 23-25. Game times have not yet been listed on the teams respective websites. Oakland has not yet posted their 2005 tentative schedule. Neither NY team has posted it's 2005 tentative schedule.
The Red Sox always play at home in the MORNING on Patriots' Day. Mid-April. If the Yankees were home the same day, that could also be feasible.
How long do you think it would be to get from Fenway to Yankee, or even Shea? Please factor in game day traffic. I've never been to either NY or MA, I hope to change that this summer.
I'm going to say about five hours, less if you can get through the various traffic hot-spots quickly. Of course, this year, the Sox played the Yankees at home that day, so if that were the case again, the Mets might have to be the option.
I"m sure there'll be some point next season when the Giants play early and A's late, or vice versa. BART will take you across the bay in about twenty minutes...
I'm sure there will be a quite a few days next season when you can catch a Cubs game in the afternoon, jump on the CTA red line, and see the White Sox in the evening.
They're trying to avoid it, but its possible to have DC and Baltimore home games on the same day next year.
It would take about an hour from parking lot to parking lot between Camden yards and RFK. That all depends on 95 traffic though.
Happens once a year, usually. Did it a few years ago, when the G's were still at Candlestick (trip took a little longer than 20 mins. for us because the Stick had no BART access and was farther from the Bay Bridge than SBC Park).
Yea, I suppose it would also be a bit more than twenty even from SBC, since BART doesn't go directly there, only MUNI does.
LA (Dodgers, Angels) and San Diego (Padres) might be doable as well. I'd say give 3 hours travel time with moderate traffic. If it's on a weekend...forget doing it by car. You know I never gave thought to doing this, and now I'm in a great location to pull this off (SF Bay area). Might have to give it a try if the opportunity arises. Guy
