Vargas has been extraordinary for Cali lately, he makes blunders just like Ospina. Still, he should be our #2 in my opinion. You just get someone on a bad concept and are unable to change It no Matter how well they do. He made some stupid mistakes like going to Nacional and then Argentinos? Sure. But he's always been a very trustworthy goalkeeper nonetheless.
You just like him because of his height, and we all know that you get stiffies for tall players. I have more confidence in Vargas.

Ha ha I watched the game and creamed my pants This season has made me very happy a lot of young Colombian GKs are getting shots and taking them. Bonilla might leave Colombia for Portugal. Hopefully that opens the doors for Ruiz to be the starter at Equidad. That kid looked very good too. Plus Montero at Tolima All these GKs need to stay the fk out of Nacional that team has killed the last 3 Colombian NT GK careers that went there. Also big clubs need to stop hording NT goalies. Santa Fe, Nacional had 3 at one point. Hope next season Junior let’s Chunga start because Viera is trash
Topic I beat to death I know but with a lot of young goalies I really want to see a friendly list with just Arbolera, Montero and Banguera(9 saves today and a ton against Nacional as well). Is Cristian Vargas good enough for the NT looks like he benched the Argie goalie and we know how much our fed loves to force feed us Nacional players. Thing with goalies other then the 3 above they are kind of old for their starting roles. Nova was doing real well at the start of the season but let’s not forget last year he was benched by Bonilla who is kind of garbage and a u20 GK
I think the only way we may see that happen is if we have some non FIFA friendlies. With only a hand full of FIFA dates left I think Ospina will be called up and most likely play each game. Especially since we need to have a chemistry and a cohesion with whoever is going to be the back line. More than likely we may have a new LB and we don't know for sure who the starting CBs will be.
I really like Banguera. Was god like against Nacional and America de Cali. Was great last season too. He just at too small of a club. Don’t think he is good enough for Boca but if he starts for them think he can be our starting goalie by Copa América. Arbolera I like as well but to me is over hyped because he plays abroad.

I have RCN International on my fubo subscription and they show some games too. I enjoy listening to Ivan Mejia. I think Cucuta and Union play tonight, looking forward to watching it.
Arboleda saved another penalty yesterday. (The rebound was knocked in but that is another story.) He seems to have a knack at stopping the spot kick. Could come in handy in future tournaments if he keeps it up.
I kinda mentioned that as a joke months ago around here but now it is seeming like a possibility if he keeps this up.
