    I wonder if this league is affiliated and uses USSF referees?

    From what I understand, this was an unaffiliated league.

    The Darwinian method of teaching it apparently takes more than a few generations to take effect.
    So the "I tell you and you listen" method is preferred, but it suffers from lack of compliance by the students.
