    There's interest.

    Huge win for Osnabrück.

    FC still in 4th.

BMG - needs a couple of losses in a row.

You should better hope for a BMG win in Freiburg tomorrow...:p;)

Tomorrow - a tie, then a string of losses for both of you ;)

I don't usually hope for BMG wins, but I certainly will tomorrow. Don't want 1860 to fall too far behind before their players have a chance to heal over the winter break.

Ok, then we won't do you the favour ... and lose the game! :p ;)

Btw: What a sensational comeback from Jena in Kaiserslautern! Fürth (I knew they would lose in Augsburg) and 1860 with unexpected high defeats ... what shows how tough it is to play teams that fight against relegation (especially when they are as strong at home as Augsburg & Osnabrück)!

It did help Jena that FCK absolutely sucked......

well...this couldn't be more perfect for us...all the teams we needed to lose, have lost (except Mainz, but better Koeln losing than Mainz...)

normally when we have a chance like this...we ******** it up too, but hopefully we can get 3 points...I forget what that feels like after all these draws :D

    Thanx, Cris.

Yep, this victory should be a big step on the way back to the 1 Bundesliga.

Uwe, you guys are well on your way, but I've never seen "a big step" toward promotion taken in week 16. Just about everything has gone you guys' way for the past ten matchdays or so.

It could go just as wrong in the second half of the season.

Was it an important win in Freiburg? Of course. No one can deny that.

"A big step toward promotion?" I don't think so.......

Welcome back, Xie Hui! :) I simply like this guy (had a few nice conversations with him in the past during his time in Fürth, when I often met him in the old town or park). Let's hope he won't have to suffer with injuries anymore...

Btw: Here's the results from yesterday.

    Offenbach - Osnabrück 3:3 (1:1)
    St. Pauli - Mainz 1:0 (1:0)

    Fürth - Hoffenheim -:- (-:)

    Jena - Augsburg -:- (-:)
    Gladbach - Paderborn -:- (-:)

It was Cologne's first victory against Kaiserslautern since 1989! The late winner was clear offside, but in the opening minutes the hosts got a goal mistakenly disallowed for offside ... so there was justice in the end. :)

Final table before the winter break:

    2 1. FSV Mainz 05 (A) 17 9 4 4 31:16 15 31
    3 1. FC Köln 17 9 3 5 32:23 9 30
    --------------------------------------------------------------
    4 SC Freiburg 17 8 6 3 27:20 7 30
    5 SpVgg Greuther Fürth 17 8 5 4 29:21 8 29

Erg... relegation spots, not good. Can't imagine Aue and Lautern in the 3. Bundesliga, would much rather see Wehen and Offenheim down there :D :p

I'd rather see K-town stay up and Offenbach go down, but that's just me:)

Where can I sign that? :D

Im not gonna lie, I do enjoy seeing K Town in 2nd, but them going down could mean big big trouble for the club and that I wouldnt wish to anybody... well except for Offenbach...
I would much rather have Lautern back in 1st though then Mainz or Fuerth or Hoffenheim... The games there where allways good fun.

It was passive offsides and the correct call. With that being said the ref was awful. Both sides had missed calls and phantom calls. I still do not know why Bernier got the yellow.

Seeing the complete half series, cologne was often disadvantaged by the referees and therefore this time first handshake with the black friends...:)

Also in the first half, they had to got a penalty and one regular goal.

In the end a more than deserved victory.

    :D
