i hope you're right...But to be honest i have no idea what to expect with my team...Things will be so different from the management to the players. Of course i believe we'll be singing zweite liga nie mehr nie mehr nie mehr at the end of the season...But you guys know how i am
Köln, Lautern and Gladbach. Or at least thats what I hope. Time for some big boys to come back. Ive had enough of all of the Bielefelds, Rostocks, Cotbus', Wolfsburgs...
If any combo of Moenchengladbach, Koeln, Freiburg, 1860 or St. Pauli (grant it they make 2. Bundi) go up I would be happy. Who are or will be considerd "dark horses" to gain promotion? I'd say FC Augsburg, based on their great season and Koblenz on their great second-half of the season.
Gladbach goes up. Köln can't make the jump, just not smart enough. Aachen on a nice bounce. Mainz fights with Kaiserslautern and squeeks it out.
Hoffenheim and Augsburg have next to no chance of getting promoted in the next season. hoffenheim maybe in some years, but not yet. Augsburg i can't see getting promoted in any way, especially now that Lawaree is gone.
I wouldn't be so quick to assume that. I agree that Meier isn't smart enough, but if he can buy it, he will. I would love to see that, but I think tendencies are against it. I think Dum and Schlaudraff meant more to them than people realize. It also will not help losing Michael Frontzek and Eric Meijer on the trainer's bench. Patrick Milchraum is a good pickup and I love Ibisevic up front, but what else will they bring in?? At the end of the Bundesliga season, I don't think Aachen were as good as the top five teams in the 2. Liga. It's hard to say who'll be promoted and who won't be. It's just too soon. There's still a full summer of transfers to be decided. Love the speculation though!
I agree on Hoffenheim. I don't think their goal is to play for promotion in this coming season anyhow. I think their goal will be to maintain 2. Liga status. And on Augsburg, what are you saying? Imre Szabics can't fill Lawree's shoes? Are you nuts??!! LOL!! (Believe me, I am kidding!)
Its just your last lines regarding, of course its all speculation and its early speculation. Just give your opinion like the rest of us instead of finding holes.
If i had to make guesses: - Mainz: Would be strong enough to fight for a return to 1. BL. - Aachen: Lost some key players, the team really suffered a meltdown at the end of the season. The Aachen side who got promoted 1 year ago was imo much better than this side. So i wouldn't bank on them returning next season. - Gladbach: I think they should be one of the favourites due to their popularity, financial status, tradition, etc. But they will have to completely change the squad over the summer. - Freiburg: Would definitely have a chance of being promoted, though Finke's departure will work against them rather than for them i think. - Fuerth: They have now scientifically proven that it's impossible for them to get promoted. - Kaiserslautern: With a few good buys, they should stand a good chance of getting promoted. Letting go of Hajnal was not a good first step though imo. - 1860 Munich: Certainly unlikely, but i do believe that with some good signings in the summer, they can be considered outsiders for promotion. - 1. FC Koeln: I actually have a feeling that they will bounce back. Daum didn't suddenly turn into a crap coach - i still believe he's capable of bringing Koeln up next season. In any case, the goats will surely do better than this season. - Augsburg: No way. - Hoffenheim: Won't turn into a top team overnight. They should just try and avoid relegation, like footyfan said. I think they will manage that. - St. Pauli: Not gonna happen, but hey, it would be just great Either way, we're all just guessing here for now, the season ended 4 days ago. I think we'll have to wait until the end of the transfer season before we can accurately guess who will challenge for promotion.
Agree. Don't forget that from that team who got promoted, they also lost coach Hecking. I thought Frontzeck did good job after that and now both he and Meijer are gone. I think Aachen's chances depend on their hiring the right coaching team above anything else. I think they are going to have a harder time than people expect. I didn't think they would go anywhere with Jupp Heynckes, but I also don't think they would have been relegated had they stuck with him either. What am I saying? I'm saying that I have very little confidence in Jos Luhukay and I'm thinking Michael Frontzeck will be the Gladbach trainer before the end of next season. Not only Finke's departure, but the departure of many of the players who were that team's foundation too. I think SCF are going to have it hard next season. I used to get a bit miffed when people said that, but yes, it is true! It's not like they told Hajnal he could go. They just didn't have the means to keep him. They would need a perfect season to get promoted with the players they are losing. I think Daum has always been overrated. With the talent he had in Leverkusen, there's no f#cking way they shouldn't have won a title or a cup. However, what happened in Koln this past season was not Daum's fault. But it is a damned shame how dependent they were on one player. Helmes. They'd better do it this coming season because after this one, Helmes becomes a Leverkusen player....... They did good to hang in this season. I'll be rooting for them to keep their 2. Liga status after next season too, but that's the battle I think they will be in. The relegation battle, not the promotion battle..... Yeah. I think Hopp will buy enough for Rangnick to try to secure 2. Liga status. SSV Ulm pulled it off once....... But the guessing is fun, isn't it??
has anyone ever heard of Heiko Butscher???? a Bochum player who played about 24 times this season...New signing from SCF, and i'm just wondering what kind of player he is and how he'll be in 2nd liga.
