That was never really an option, so no one should be surprised. The timing is great for Seattle MLS, as far as installation of the new turf.
Yeah, that's it. A very enjoyable movie. Rep for you. Oops... the "You must spread some reputation before giving it to..." message again. I owe you some. Remind me 2 weeks from now.
Let's see how fast a MLS or USL thread regarding an Edmonton team comes up. It'll be interesting to see how big of a crowd will show up for the game agianst Galaxy and Vancouver.
Nice little video report with this. I used to live in Austin, nice to see they took the time to cover the game.
True story: First date, for which Golazo has cleverly picked "Princess Bride" based on review in paper describing it as "Perfect first date movie." We're headed out of the restaurant. Run in to a buddy. "Buddy" says: "Dude... We just saw the best movie ever.... you have to go see it." "Buddy," "Buddy's" girlfriend rave about movie without giving details. Decide to ditch "Princess Bride" to go see movie that has "Buddy" and girlfriend all wound up. That movie? Fatal Attraction. Whoops.
...Don Garber said. "We will be adding four to six new teams in the next 10 years, and the domestic pool will not accommodate that." First time I see a quote from Garber implying that MLS will go beyond the 18-team limit suggested by FIFA.
Glad to see the latest state of the art FieldTurf installed in Seattle. Too bad they didn't wait one more year though. That way the technology may have improved even more, and it would have already had 1 full NFL season of wear and tear by the time Seattle starts playing.
Come on GOALSeattle, show some faith. 2 home preseason games + 8 home regular season games + 2 home post season games = 12 home games.
In any case, better one year (and don't forget the Sounders will only play one Scheduled match at Qwest in 2008) than seven. (First installation was in 2002).
I like that Nancy Armour wrote the same basic article, with tweaks here and there, twice. Speaking of Edmonton, didn't they already have an A-League team once? I remember their ownership group being pretty pie-in-the-sky.
