Has anyone set-up a bigsoccer account at the Washington Post website? If so, what are the details. Thanks
What El Padre is trying to say is that the Washington Post is not allowing the bigsoccer generic login and password. Or at least, it's not working for me and several other users. Your best bet is to create your own personal account. The Reverend is correct when he implies it is a painless and quick process. Vaya con Dios. Edit: Oh oh, this was my 666th post. Should I be concerned?
Pardon my ignorance. I'm glad to register my own account. Shall I assume I should not use my regular email account...or else I will be flooded within 24 hours with an unknown amount of spam from here to forevermore? Just checking before I register.
I have not noticed an increase of spam mail since registering with the Post. When you register, you can specify that you do not want your e-mail address made available to outside parties. To be safe, don't use your regular e-mail account. Use your "irregular" one. (I'm glad to get rid of that "666 posts" label.)
I'm registered for at least a dozen sites, and I get no Email whatsoever as a result. That could be because, if the site asks for "personal" information that they're likely to sell to advertisers, I put down that I'm 86 years old with an income under $10,000. That pretty much takes care of the registration problem, and it seems to keep spam to an absolute minimum. And if they don't ask for that stuff, it seems to be a fair bet that they're not likely to sell (or use) your demographic info for anything other than figuring out who reads their webpages so they know how to sell to advertisers. And of course, make sure that you look for the "check here if you don't want us to sell your info" box.

Wow, I'm surprised he doesn't have more depth perception problems when trying to hit volleys, moving balls, etc... Losing eyesight in his right eye is the reason puckett retired.
If Convey closes his right eye, he can't see anything. "It's a pretty big deal, but I don't really tell anyone," he says. "The only thing I would want someday is to be able to see out of two eyes." Well, it's a good thing no one reads the McPaper. His secret can remain one. He really has stepped it up on the youth national teams. I am looking forward to seeing if he can continue that progress on the senior team and in MLS.
Maybe it's part of the Media campaign to psych-out mexico during Olympic Qualifying I wonder if Tottenham knew this before they tried to bring him over? I wonder how this fact effect how clubs view Convey? They way he's playing, it doesn't make a difference IMHO.
Must ... control ... anger... Don't ever, ever, ever post that anywhere NEAR an LA board. He's rather despised as being a Europhile, US soccer basher who just regurgitates wire stories. I agree though, that he can be a good writer. He's just lazy.
I'm surprised Convey was allowed to play soccer, because it's a contact sport. Wouldn't he have the possibility of developing a detected retina in his right eye from the contact of soccer?
Is that right. Well I say never becuase of all those sitters he shanked and put them into row z. Quality and marksmanship at it fullest.
Re: Re: Re: 2/9/04 You need four good strikers? if you really want to read it, you can get to it throught the Newsstand link on MLSnet.com but as ff said, it is indeed the usual English make a story out of nothing. mostly about the expectations of McBride to transform his game into Louis Saha and score goals every game.
I had no idea about Bobby. That doctor was wrong about one thing - he could have played football. Wesley Walker had a fine career despite being blind in one eye.
i'm legally blind without my contacts and during my whole senior year of football i played without them cuz at the time they were giving me bad headaches, so i was blind and still ended up with 21 TD passes and only threw 2 picks, got an offer from the U. of Nevada so i think if you know the game or have a feel for it or whatever vision doesn't matter all that much...
