So Walker IS getting a tryout with the Quakes. Interesting. Would be interesting to see just how good (or not so good) this bottle of liquor is. Any guesses on whether he'd be a discovery player, or an allocation, or obtained via weighted lottery, or transported via electron particle waves beamed in from Silicon Valley?
Attendance at US-Argentina (Miami Herald) Guy in the article suggests that 35-40K in Miami... may have to open upper bowl for Sat's contest. Should make for a lively atmosphere for ESPN II.
Walker would likely be in a weighted lottery, since there seems to be more than one team interested in him (Burn and Quakes, I'm looking at you).
Re: Attendance at US-Argentina (Miami Herald) Hopefully at least 1/2 will be rooting for the red, white and blue. Should be quite an experience for all those youth clubs/kids taking in this match, seeing the intensity and passion of the Argentinian fans.
Jordan apparently did not sign with Maritimo, but word out of Dallas camp is that Countess will be the starter and Jordan will not be in camp. www.3rddegree.net
Re: Re: Attendance at US-Argentina (Miami Herald) and this one happens to be married to Dave Barry (she used to be the Fusion beat reporter?). This led to one of his funnier articles about a Miami FO vs reporters game some time back. I wish I could find it.

You know for a widespread evil media conspiracy - there sure has been a consistently large number of media stories about MLS, especially for the off-season. Not saying there aren't powerfull folks out there hating soccer. But either we're getting better at finding the soccer news or there is more of it out there.

Re: Re: 2/4/03: Green Eggs and Ham is anyone else having problems getting to these two stories? they are the links when you actually get to the stories, but when i click on them, it sends me to the herald news front page. instead of to the story. mlsnet uses the same link, and it takes you directly to the article... thanks -jim
