Not much in print today. Plus, I simplified the thread title again. No one was able to correctly guess the past 3-4 quotes. ------------------------------------- Philly deal will not deter efforts to bring team to Miami - South Florida Sun-Sentinel On Soccer: Revs have burning questions - MetroWest Daily News Toronto FC midfielder Edu named to U.S. squad for friendly against Mexico - the Canadian Press Pennsylvania Bolsters M.L.S. Hmm... It's nice to know that Wynalda's staying in the broadcasts (or at least the ones with studio segments). Weren't JP and Harkes paired up for the last World Cup?
Re: Summoned to England for Soccer...smart of Chelsea. Scout the world, select those you like and bring them to a Chelsea-organized tournament. Nice to see that our youth are being sought after in Europe and Mexico, but it has its MLS disadvantages, doesn't it? I liked this quote:
Actually, the quote goes, "What are you guys, some sort of cosmonauts?" "No, we're exterminators. Someone reported a cockroach up on 12." "Must be some cockroach." "Bite your head off, man" "Going up?" "I'll wait for the next one" Damn...I'm a geek
End result being if we like them well enough, we sign them and develop them. We've been trying to improve our youth academy for a while. We're making great strides and so far we've got Scott Sinclair who is making it onto the bench, Ben Sahar, and we could possibly see Miroslav Stoch get some time this year or next year. Of course we can't keep buying everybody forever you know without a worry.
