At the bottom of the Twellman article:

"Nicol confirmed that Carlos Llamosa, who had been a contract holdout, signed a deal with Major League Soccer. However, Nicol said he was uncertain of the contract's length. "It means we will have a solid defense with guys fighting for positions,'' Nicol said of Llamosa's signing."

It is good to hear Carlos stays state side and plays for the Revs after all what was said and done.

What ever happened to Jim Rooney this offseason?

After Rooney fell out of contract with the Revs I haven't heard anything about him. Is he retired from soccer now?

Interesting note in the El Paso article that the break-even point for the UTEP-Patriots agreement is about 2000 fans average. Last year, at a different field, the Patriots averaged 2500, so despite some complaining by the owners that there's no money in it, at least two A-league teams were making money off 2nd division soccer...

I heard Rooney wants to play but only if the circumstances were right. I was told by a reporter that Bradley and Hudson were trying to get him to play for them.

I hope he comes back to the League. He has a good couple of years left in him.

The Metro are having a hard time convincing Addo to stick around for the approximate $24,000 they can afford to pay him under the cap.

I don't know what they could do for Rooney.
