    babelfish translation:

TOOOR... a world class gate by Mathis... Placente loses the ball...
Mathis becomes generally accepted in unity counter unity situation
against Nowotny and bang the marble from approximately 18 meters right
into the meshes... Bravo, madly, super!

"GOOOALL... a world class goal from Mathis.. Placente lost the ball. MAthis beat Nowotny in a one-on-one...

Gotta love Babelfish... unintentional comedy at its finest. :)

And good onya, Clint. Sounds like a killer strike... I think judging from the tracker, this one was coming and it was inevitable.

Goooooooal Cleetus! Sounds like he's having a great game, and if this keeps up, 2nd Kicker Team in 3 weeks I reckon...

The goal sounded cool: 1/2 field run 1v1 vs. defender (or something of sort)...

Can't wait to see this Mathis goal on the highlight show. The Hannover ticker declares this one to be "a goal that leaves football fans with their tongues hanging out."

That is the Clint we need to see...taking on defenders, and this time one of relatively high quality as well.

Have Bayer Leverkusen turned into a Heavy Metal band or what is this Umlaut doing in thread title ? ;)

    Go Leverkusen, btw.

Great to see Clint score. I'll have to see that goal on the highlights, one way or another.

Let me be the first to say:

    It's about freakin' time!! :)

I love the fact that somehow "unity counter unity" translates to "one-on-one".

I guess I do know it now. :)

Gotta give me credit for trying, though... been 12 years since I actually applied the language, diacritics/alphabet and all.

I must admit Leverküsen does not only look better it does actually even sound better than the correct version, so from now on I will refer to them as Bayer Leverküsen!
